Warner Bros. has released the final trailer for
Joker, and it features plenty of amazing new footage and some noteworthy reveals. Shedding more light on Arthur Fleck's transformation into Gotham City's Clown Prince of Crime, it's beginning to get easier and easier to see why there's already Oscar buzz surrounding the DC Comics adaptation.
The movie doesn't appear to be adhering to the comic books in any way, but there's never been a definitive origin story for The Joker, so it almost doesn't matter that this movie will deliver something new.
However, some comic book fans are bound to be disappointed that this Joker is just a crazy guy in make-up as opposed to someone who went through what his comic book counterpart did (including his storied history with Batman). Despite all of that, it's hard not to get excited about what we see here, and it will be very interesting to see what critics make of it at the Venice Film Festival.
