As filming continues on Joker: Folie à Deux in New York, stars Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga were spotted shooting a scene together on the familiar Bronx steps from the first film, and the latter was sporting a slightly different ensemble as Harley Quinn.

Whereas the first outfit paid homage to Harley's classic red and black look, this costume consists of a black and white, argyle-patterned corset and more Joker-like face-paint.

In the scene, Harley dances down the steps, recreating the iconic moment from the original movie.

Is this take on Harleen Quinzel some kind of obsessive fan-girl, or will this be a musical sequence that plays out in her mind? We have heard that the majority of the story plays out in Arkham, so it's difficult to tell for sure.

While shooting the scene, a crew member fell over a railing, and both actors rushed to his aid. You can check out photos of the incident and a video of Harley's dance at the link below.

The Joker sequel won't take place in the same world as the main DCU, and will be known as an "Elseworlds" project, along with Matt Reeves' The Batman movies, J.J. Abrams' Superman film, and Constantine 2 (if they happen).

Joker: Folie à deux is set to hit theaters on October 4, 2024.
