JOKER Reportedly Wraps Production As Set Photos Give Us One Last Glimpse Of Joaquin Phoenix In Costume

Though nothing has been officially announced, a new report indicates that cameras have now stopped rolling on Warner Bros.' standalone Joker movie, with star Joaquin Phoenix posing for his final set snaps.

It looks like production has now wrapped on Warner Bros. and director Todd Philips' Joker movie, as stars Joaquin Phoenix and Zazie Beetz filmed their final scenes on the streets of New York earlier today.

The Daily Mail has shared some photos from the set, which feature Phoenix as both Arthur Fleck and his Clown Prince of Crime alter-ego. The Academy Award-nominee posed for a series of snaps as The Joker, before shooting a scene as Fleck on a steep stairway in Brooklyn. Beetz was seen walking away from him with a small child; presumably her character's daughter.

Keep in mind that just because this was the last scene shot, that doesn't necessarily mean it'll be the conclusion of the move - in fact, it most likely won't be. So, there's still a possibility that we will see Phoenix adopt a more comic-accurate look for the iconic DC villain.

Most anticipate comicbook movie for 2019...after Avengers 4 obviously!

By the way Into the Spider-Verse is the best comicbook of 2018, I wasn't ready!

So I guess this confirms that this is the Joker's "final" look for the film?

A few reports suggested the make up may be the Joker in his early stages and that he adopts the more classic look down the line.

I do dig the look they're going with but I can't help but get Heath Ledger vibes from it with the look of the make up smudging and degrading over time as we've seen in some BTS shots.

@bcom - I am starting to think this might be some kind of inspiration for the future Joker who fights Batman. If Bruce is 8, this Joker would be a senior citizen by the time they square off.

So it appears he just wears clown makeup?

If so, when in hell are we going to get a Joker ripped from the pages of the comics?

Yeah! Yeah! Jack N. was pretty good, Caeser was great but hokey......an lets not start of Leto.

@JoeMomma29 - My therapist says that in order to heal, I need to stop seeing words like Jared and Leto, especially in the same sentence.

Please be more sensitive to those of us trying to forget. 😂

@JoeMomma29 - comics comics comics, who cares. We got Ledgers performance which was fantastic. Nicholson’s was great especially at the time. I dislike Leto’s Joker from the good though

@Subtlespammer24 - Ledger's was amazing.....but lets not fool ourselves. Were you happy with him looking like a raccoon at times? What makes The Joker such an amazing villain or character in general is his origin etc.... The insanity is the other part of it.

@Subtlespammer24 - There were flahes of Leto's performance that I really liked.....but his design was pathetic.
