Mark Hamill Is Not Done With The Joker After BATMAN: THE KILLING JOKE

To many, Mark Hamill is the definitive Joker, but after Batman: The Killing Joke is released, Hamill might not ever return to the role of the Clown Prince of Crime, or at least so we thought until now...

A few years ago, after the release of the critically acclaimed video game sequel Batman: Arkham City, Mark Hamill, the man behind the iconic voice of the Clown Prince of Crime, announced his retirement from voicing the character. Fans were disappointed to hear the news, but to their surprise, Mark Hamill made his grandiose return as the Joker in the final chapter of the Batman Arkham trilogy, Batman: Arkham Knight.

Ever since the release of Batman: Arkham Knight, Hamill has been adamant that the only time he'd ever voice the Joker again would be if Warner Bros. and DC should make an animated feature of Alan Moore's graphic novel, Batman: The Killing Joke. It wasn't much of a surprise when Hamill would once again announce his return as the Joker for the upcoming animated feature. However, with Hamill completing his promise, it seems like his reign as the Joker is truly over, or at least so we thought.

Recently, while answering some live Twitter questions from fans, Hamill was asked whether or not The Killing Joke would be his final performance as the Joker. Hamill went on to reply, "no" to the fan, but left the response ambiguous. He simply could be toying with him, but if he isn't, then this is great news for Batman fans everywhere. Are you excited about the possibility of hearing more of Mark Hamill's Joker in the future?

Batman: The Killing Joke hits Blu-ray/DVD & Digital HD on July 23rd, 2016.

What does it take for a person to snap? How much despair for a mind to fracture? These are the twisted questions that The Joker has set out to answer, to show Gotham that even an ordinary man like Commissioner Gordon is only one bad day away from sheer insanity. Based on the acclaimed DC Comics graphic novel, witness a journey into the dark psyche of the Clown Prince of Crime. Follow his humble beginnings as a struggling comic to his fateful encounter with the Dark Knight that changed everything. Fueled by the return of Kevin Conroy as Batman and Mark Hamill as The Joker, witness the birth of a super villain, the fortitude of a hero and the punch line that will leave you speechless.

I imagine he's probably referring to Batman VR. Who knows after that???
Wouldn't mind a remake of BTAS. Better animation, same voice actors, new stories would be dope.
