Not too long ago Cosmic Book News posted some information from the same source below that simply said that old batcave from Batman Begins would used once again in The Dark Knight Rises. As you can see below that same sources has added to that info and filled in some blanks. This type of information should always be taken with a grain of salt.

CBN: Now, here is some updated info:
The overall design of the cave is almost identical of the cave of Batman Begins, with it being a basic cave without cavernous drops.

The waterfall is still there.

There have been upgrades with better lighting than the basic generator powered ones put up in Batman Begins.

There is a whole new batcomputer similar to the set up in The Dark Knight.

There is a weapons area where all of Batman's equipment used in both films, plus new gadgets, can be seen.

There is also a cabinet containing both Batsuits.

The cave isn't featured much in the film, it is has about as much screen time as the previous movies.

The Dark Knight Rises hits theaters July 20th 2012 and stars Christian Bale as Bruce Wayne/Batman, Michael Caine as Alfred Pennyworth, Garly Oldman as Jim Gordon, Tom Hardy as Bane, Anne Hathaway as Selina Kyle, Joseph Gordon-Levitt as John Blake and Marion Cotillard as Miranda Tate.

I want a batcave too, I thought Bruce was working on that on the first movie so I was kind of expecting to see it on the 2nd movie.

it would be cool if there were trophies but no giant penny. I mean ra's' sword, a joker, card, scrarecrow's mask and two-face's penny in a display case.

If we don't get T-Rex and Penny this time, then we'd better get them in the revamp. Seriously, not a single Batman film has made use of either of the Batcave's two most notable features.

The overall design of the cave is almost identical of the cave of Batman Begins, with it being a basic cave without cavernous drops: WIN

The waterfall is still there: Yeah, that goes with being "almost identical of the cave of Batman Begins".

There have been upgrades with better lighting than the basic generator powered ones put up in Batman Begins: Decent

There is a whole new batcomputer similar to the set up in The Dark Knight: Cool

There is a weapons area where all of Batman's equipment used in both films, plus new gadgets, can be seen: WIN

There is also a cabinet containing both Batsuits: WIN

The cave isn't featured much in the film, it is has about as much screen time as the previous movies: If that includes the TDK hide out: Cool

How would this guy know how much screen time the Batcave gets? The movie hasn't even been cut together yet?

That is a bad ass picture. It appears Bane is in the bat cave. Could we see batman get his back broken after all?
Ryguy88
Ryguy88 - 12/6/2011, 11:43 AM
Intruder, you said yourself that you liked TDK better than all but one of Marvel's movies so naturally you should be pretty excited for it's sequel. But I guess being a Marvelite comes with some responsibilities i.e. spreading bad word of mouth about movies competing against Marvel.

Gusto, than of course he would know....
Ryguy88
Ryguy88 - 12/6/2011, 11:48 AM
mikenew, I never thought of that but it definitely looks like the batcave!

When CBM gets the know on whether or not Batman gets his back broken I really hope they don't post the news on the main page. That info will make or break a lot of the suspense in this movie.

NeoBaggins
NeoBaggins - 12/6/2011, 12:28 PM
Those don't look like the walls of a cave. They are man made walls. And if you look up, theres a blue area, a top level with some lights. If the cave is pretty much the same as Begins, according to this info, that doesnt look like a bat cave in the pic.
TheBurnSays
TheBurnSays - 12/6/2011, 12:34 PM
The picture isn't from the cave. It's from their showdown in the underground tunnels. The same tunnels where the undreds of cops are kept captive for a big part of the movie. It's either in the beginning where Bats get hurt or at the end when he comes back. Either way, we all win!

Why does every picture of Batman in TDKR look like he is trying to squeeze one out standing up. I think Batman needs more fiber.
