Jordan Peele's Candyman?
We'll start with some news that may not sit well with horror buffs.
According to Bloody Disgusting, the right to the Candyman franchise have become available again for the first time in almost 20 years, and there's a remake in the works. The good news? It's being produced by Get Out director Jordan Peele through his Monkeypaw Productions.
No word on whether he plans to direct, however.

The combined success of the Ant-Man sequel, Black Panther and Avengers: Infinity War means The MCU has amassed over $4 billion in 2018. According to Box Office Mojo, this gives the franchise a lifetime total of close to $18 billion ($17.515B, to be precise).
Marvel Officially Releases Daredevil Season 3 Teaser
We've already seen this short sequence featuring a back in black Matt Murdock that aired as a post-credits scene for Iron Fist season 2, but now it's been officially released by Marvel.
The Tweet includes the caption "Job 12: 22," which led to speculation that season 3 of Daredevil would be airing this December, but the promo only says "coming soon," so it looks like The Devil of Hell's Kitchen was simply quoting scripture.
Olivia Munn Hasn't Forgiven Shane Black For The Predator Casting Controversy
As we previously reported, controversy has been swirling around The Predator and Shane Black since the news broke that the director had given a small part in the film to a friend of his, Steven Wilder Striegel, despite being aware of the fact that he was a registered sex offender.
Cast member Olivia Munn, who first discovered this and had the studio remove the scene she shared with Striegel, has released several statement and conducted interviews on the matter, but has yet to be backed-up by any of her castmates - other than Sterling K. Brown who send out a series of Tweets.
Munn has now revealed that she refuses to accept Black's public apology while chatting to The Times:
“I don’t accept Shane’s apology. It wasn’t given to me personally …. I think a real apology has to be done privately, not just read publicly, and I read it with the rest of the world. I didn’t get that call. I didn’t get any calls from any producers or anybody saying, ‘Thank you for letting us know,’ or, ‘Thank you for letting us know before the movie.’”
Matt Reeves Tweets About Batman... But Not His Upcoming Movie
The Batman director Matt Reeves sent out a series of Tweets last night which initially got fans very excited about a potential announcement, before it became clear that his posts had nothing to do with the movie.
It seems Reeves was actually attending some kind of Batman '66 retrospective event, and decided to torture impatient fans with a few photos!
Solo: A Star Wars Story Darth Maul Scene Officially Released
Lucasfilm has already shared some images of Darth Maul as he appears in Solo: A Star Wars Story, but you can now revisit the villain's return in an officially released clip.
Will we see Maul again? Well, a direct sequel to Solo seems unlikely, but one would assume that Disney must have some kind of plan in place if they brought the character back in this manner.

More Actresses Potentially Up For Birds Of Prey Roles
WB and director Cathy Yan are clearly casting a wide net to nail down their principal cast for the Birds of Prey movie, and we now have word on three more actresses that have put themselves forward for the roles of Black Canary and Huntress.
We're not sure who read for what character, but our sources report that Ana de Armas (Blade Runner 2049), Eiza González (Baby Driver) and Francesca Ruscio - who recently campaigned for the part of Huntress - have auditioned.
Whether or not they're actually in the studio's radar remains to be seen, however.
Beauty And The... Beauty
Finally, we have a photo from the latest edition of EW which features Anne Hathaway (The Dark Knight Rises) and Jessica Chastain (X-Men: Dark Phoenix) posing in Beauty and The Beast attire.
Why? We have no idea, but it's a nice pic!
That's it, enjoy the rest of your Monday!
