Having starred in not only movies like Batman Begins and The Dark Knight, but also Driving Miss Daisy, The Shawshank Redemption, Million Dollar Baby and Unforgiven, it's no surprise that Morgan Freeman is now joining the likes of Walt Disney, Anthony Hopkins, Steven Spielberg and Robert De Niro as a recipient of the Cecil B DeMille Award for lifetime achievement.

The award is presented by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association for outstanding contribution to the world of entertainment and will be awarded to the actor at a Los Angeles ceremony on 15 January, 2012. It was announced earlier this week by Man of Steel actress Amy Adams who described Freeman as "one of the most recognisable figures in American cinema." She added: "He has amazing screen presence, an unmatchable voice and quiet dignity, and has created some of the most memorable portrayals ever recorded on film."

STARRING:

Christian Bale as Bruce Wayne/Batman
Michael Caine as Alfred
Gary Oldman as Commissioner Jim Gordon
Morgan Freeman as Lucius Fox
Tom Hardy as Bane
Anne Hathaway as Selina Kyle/Catwoman
Joseph Gordon-Levitt as John Blake
Marion Cotillard as Miranda Tate
Josh Pence as Ra's Al Ghul

RELEASE DATE: July 20th, 2012

Good Mr. Freeman

@Josh Wilding
If I could remember, you deleted a few of my articles because they "[had] nothing to do with comic book movies".

What is this article relevant to?

"Shut your fcuking mouth."
-Yeah, you'd like that wouldn't you?

My point is that, its a web site. Just like he has the liberty to post what-ever he wants or thinks is informative- I have it likewise. 10 weeks from now, those articles wont matter but it's the principle of things: respect.

@BIGSHOW

You talk about respect, yet you try to blast an EDITOR who does this for free on his article?!? If you had a problem with JOSH you should have emailed him privately, not acted like a raging c*nt trying to tell him what to do.

He's EARNED the ability to post what he wants.....you want the same privledge??? Put in HUNDREDS of articles just as he has and stop your b!tching when some of them are deleted for various reasons, then deal with sanctimonious @sshats like yourself always b!tching to you about this or that and maybe, MAYBE GALACTUS will deem you worthy to be an editor.

Until then, STFU or GTFO.

If your going to force some unwritten rules on others (its just a web site), you better follow them yourself. In fact, I've never seen a piece of work from your way or @Nephillim... Do I want privileges? To write articles? Technically, everyone already has that power-why wont you use it? You know, since you're the most clever man of logos on this thread (sarcasm).

I dont care about Galactus or Josh, but it concerns me whenever I and many others put in some work- these guys deem it as vain. We create articles over on the left and they're on the right- dont trespass unless you want to borrow some sugar. Without us, there wouldnt be a JoshW or Galactus... Geesh, you're more annoying/redundant than these Larry Crowne ads.

@Nephillim
That's a difference of opinion but I bet every time I update my fancast, you're the first to comment (ps: GL was a crapy film)

@bropous
In 20 years, this wont even be relevant- so whatever

Ok, Disney and Sony make lots of money. So [frick]in what?
NeoBaggins
NeoBaggins - 11/11/2011, 9:39 PM
@ELgUaSoN Heh, I'll accept that answer due to creative effort. Still, it's basically a guy saying hey, we makin mo'money mo'money mo'money!

They should use some of that money to improve the overall production of the MARVEL films which seem to stay within a certain range of quality. They have a safe formula and stay at a consistent level but the films have room to be genuinely epic. More memorable. THOR is a prime example of the great potential a MARVEL movie has. The producer(s) worked magic with what they had, but a few bucks here and there would have sent it through the roof.

Perhaps the THOR sequel will reflect a more epic production. I notice that IM2 production values are higher than the first Iron Man despite people hating the movie. So maybe THOR had to earn that bump. But I hope to see the films in general move up from the popcorn level into more epic territory. Avengers should be that film, followed by Black bringing something new to Iron Man. If not, people are going to get burnt on the genre and it will force even cheaper productions to compensate for the lack of turn-out.

Your poorly written article was deleted because Ryan Reynolds' new movie isn't even remotely comic book related. After Captain America: The First Avenger, Chris Evans starred in Puncture...should we cover that as well? Dear, oh dear.

Sure, cover what you want. Just leave my "poorly written" articles be and go filter fan fic for me dear boy. Oh & maybe you should delete the Immortals/Reel Steel articles. Go hurry, for your mother calls.
