The Batman Part II resumed filming in Glasgow, Scotland, last night, and we now have our first look at stuntman Rick English in the Batsuit. Not much appears to have changed, but this is hopefully a precursor to much better shots in the weeks ahead.

Fans also spotted an interesting addition to the Batmobile, with tyres now attached to the front of the iconic vehicle. Some believe that there's a story reason for this, but the more likely possibility is that they're there to protect the vehicle for a stunt that requires a collision.

As a reminder, English was previously spotted preparing for an action sequence showing Batman riding atop a police car and attempting to smash his way in. Clearly, the Caped Crusader is being targeted by the GCPD in Matt Reeves' The Batman sequel.

Unsurprisingly, story details for The Batman Part II are being kept under wraps. It's been confirmed that the movie takes place in winter, which initially led to speculation that Reeves is planning a grounded take on Mr. Freeze.

However, based on reporting from the trades and other reliable sources, the spotlight could be put on the Dent family: Harvey, his wife, Gilda, and the District Attorney's father, Christopher. Two-Face, Hush, the Halloween Killer, and Phantasm are said to be in the mix for the sequel's potential costumed villains, as are the Court of Owls.

There have also been rumblings that Sebastian Stan is playing Victor Zsasz, so we're ultimately still in the dark about plans for The Batman Part II.

Stan previously said that the movie will be "a challenge, like everything else. I feel like it’s a really ambitious movie and I think if we do it all right — and obviously I’m so excited about Matt Reeves [directing] because he’s been one of my favourites for a long, long time."

"I really think it’s going to blow people away. It’s going to surprise a lot of people, I think, too," he continued. "Obviously there’s a reason why Batman’s been recurring for so many years, and why so many kids love Spider-Man."

Directed by Matt Reeves from a script by him and Mattson Tomlin, The Batman Part II stars Robert Pattinson, Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Colin Farrell, Andy Serkis, Jeffrey Wright, Charles Dance, Jayme Lawson, Gil Perez-Abraham, Sebastian Koch, and Brian Tyree Henry.

The Batman Part II is set to be released in theaters on February 18, 2028.

Two Face, Hush, Zsasz, Phantasm, Ivy, Court of Owls, probably another Joker spot from Koeghan. Are we getting an Arkham story or a bloated movie? Probably neither 😂

@FrankenDad - I've been saying since I was a teenager that they should open a Batman movie with him and Robin fighting a montage of villains. I'm so jealous Spider-Man fans actually got that lol

Yes, the TIRES are there to lessen an impact. I have a friend who did auto work for films. He worked on stuff like "The Fast And The Furious" movies and also did a lot of work on "Death Proof" he even gave me a crew hat!

@BiffDitko - that’s goddamn cool. Death Proof doesn’t get its dues in my opinion.

The only DC product that actually matters. Great job Gunn, your entire universe is being overshadowed by an "else-world" movie.

Still can’t believe this is coming out 6 years after the first one. The original was not worth a 6 year wait for a sequel. If they’re waiting until this comes out to give us the DCU Batman, move me into the Fire Gunn column.
