Next Solo BATMAN Movie Might Be Coming In The Year 2017?

However, a new possible bit of information has just popped up that says the next time you might be able to catch Batman in his own solo movie would be the year 2017, if not even longer.

According to Batman on Film, a source has told them that the next scheduled Batman film wouldn't likely hit theaters until 2017. They are also saying that it could be even later than that. WB's, not so subtle plan, is to introduce the new Batman in the upcoming Justice League movie. The Justice League movie is scheduled to hit theaters in a couple years in 2015, and the plan is to splinter off solo movies after the fact.

Batman-On-Film has had a pretty reliable track record when it comes to information regarding all things related to Batman being on the big screen. Their source is not named however, and is just being called "A Friend of Batman-On-Film". Whatever the case may be it looks like Warner Brothers is shooting for a 5 year gap between The Dark Knight Rises, and The Caped Crusader's next solo film. This seems to confirm Bruce Wayne as Batman, in the Justice League movie.
Of course it should be Bruce Wayne, but I really don't see how they can just ignore the Dark Knight trilogy. Thta is the official movie version of Batman as far as the world is concerned, right now. And it was good. It doesn't need rebooting, y'know. They succesfully made a Batman trilogy. How can they just reboot this?

Hmm. Well there were 5 years between Spider-man 3 and The Amazing Spider-man. Makes sense.

Maybe, it should JL should simply be set before TDKR. I've nothing against John Blake being Batman, in a Justice League sequel, sometime in the future.

scarecrow007@ But Spider-Mna 3 was universally hated. And even that reboot was far too soon and unnecessary.

I hope it comes out later. If people thought it was too early to reboot spider-man after spider-man 3 which was a bad movie, imagine what people will think of this after a good batman movie.

I think 2017 or later will be better for Batman reboot ... because otherwise every one will say "now only we got Batman (nolan version) and now so soon a reboot...." the way people were reacting to the amazing spiderman same way people will do for Batman reboot if it comes out like 2015

Jollem@ I mean, it wasn't like Spider-Man 3 assraped the franchise in the same way that Batman and Robin assraped the Batman franchise. They could've just done a Spider-Man 4, with the same cast, crew, director and tone as TASM. No problem.
I mean The Dark Knight Trilogy is up there with The Godgfather trilogy, in a lot of folks eyes and no amount of time is gonna warrant a reboot, there.
It is interesting to note, however, that when Batman Triumphant fell through, in 1999, WB knew back then that they were gonna do a Year One style reboot, but not until 2005. I'm pretty sure it was JettD60s "anonymous source" on batman-on-film that said that, back then. He was right, then and I'm sure he's right, now.

As long as its similar in tone with B:TAS, the Arkham Games, and the comic books, im down.

Tyler Hoechlin as the Batman.

Yes, no origin story. We already had it in Batman Begins, which told the story perfectly. However, I'd have the film begin with the deaths of Bruce's parents, then tell the rest of his trip to becoming Batman in the opening credits (a la Incredible Hulk). Then have Batman in present day, about 5-6 years into his career.

Oh, and Ryan Gosling for the next Batman! (If he isn't cast as Flash, Aquaman or another JL character)

I made an article a week or so ago with designs I made for the new batsuit. Here's some of the design concepts I made, for those who didn't see them.

Body view, with a holster for his grappling hook.

Cowl, maneuverability in the neck like in TDK and TDKR suits, but with a thicker neck. The neck in those movies was way to skinny.

Different lenses at his disposal.

Normal:

Sunglasses

Thermal

Nightvision

Right Gauntlet

Left Gauntlet

Batarang retracted

Batarang open

This is obvious. They're not going to release another movie before Justice League, and of course they will have to take some time to figure out a game plan after the success of JL

Yeah, no origin story needed.

1. Batman and company should already be established.
2. Have Dick as Robin. Have him be Robin for two movies, then have him move on as Nightwing. Bring Tim in. Skip Jason.
3. Have Batman be more acrobatic in his fighting style, as in jumping, flips (not like Robin or Nightwing), just have him more like the comic book.
4. No Joker, at least for a loooooooong time.
5. No scruffy voice.
6. PLEASE be apart of a shared universe.

Freakin hate DC and WB right now. You don't need to reboot these movies every ten years. Work it like a comic book or a Bond movie. Continue the story! We know who he is, don't need an intro again.

I think this is actually great news, if its true. it shows that they're actually willing to wait in order to put out a better movie than rushing to get Batman back to the big screen in the next few years

you can tell origin in opening credits, its only needed as a quick recap for anyone who doesn't know it.

& as for the justice league movie,as much as i want to see it i'll only believe its happening when filming begins.

Nomadic1@ Exactly! Continue the fvcking story! Don't keep stopping and starting all over the shop and going over the same ground and the same villians over and over again.
Maybe they could just extend the Nolanverse by telling stories that run alongside his films. No reason they can't do that.

Let this be the template for the suit but with a black or dark blue/gray color scheme....

Lets this be the template for the Batmobile...

Let Christopher Young helm the music score.

Get fight choreographer from The Raid, directed by Darren Aronofsky or Rian Johnson, produced by Paul Dini...and wah lah.

It would be a lot easier to transition if Nolan didn't definitively close out his story. Then they could semi-reboot and use his trilogy as a loose backstory.
