While everyone is still talking about Spider-Man: No Way Home right now, it's easy to forget that The Batman really isn't that far away. Over the past week, the marketing campaign for the movie appears to have ramped up a gear, with an Empire feature leading to the release of new stills.

Now, we have a new motion poster straight from director Matt Reeves' Twitter account.

Cleverly incorporating The Riddler's question mark into a brooding shot of the Dark Knight, there are some mysterious-looking symbols along with an intriguing new tagline: Question everything. With Warner Bros.' The Matrix Resurrections set to arrive in theaters later this week, we can't help but wonder whether this might all be leading to a new trailer just in time for Christmas.

For Batman fans, that will be the perfect holiday treat, though DC FanDome wasn't too long ago. With that in mind, the studio might choose not to reveal new footage from The Batman quite yet.

The Batman finds the Caped Crusader in his early years, struggling to balance rage with righteousness as he investigates a disturbing mystery that has terrorized Gotham. Robert Pattinson delivers a raw, intense portrayal of Batman as a disillusioned, desperate vigilante awakened by the realization that the anger consuming him makes him no better than the ruthless serial killer he’s hunting.

Joining Pattinson in the star-studded ensemble are Zoë Kravitz as Selina Kyle; Paul Dano as Edward Nashton; Jeffrey Wright as the GCPD’s James Gordon; John Turturro as Carmine Falcone; Peter Sarsgaard as Gotham D.A. Gil Colson; Barry Keoghan as Officer Stanley Merkel; Jayme Lawson as mayoral candidate Bella Reál; with Andy Serkis as Alfred; and Colin Farrell as Oswald Cobblepot.

The Batman is set to be released in theaters on March 4, 2022.

Okay, that was a badass idea for marketing. Making the Cowl silhouette into a question mark. I like it.

@Doomsday8888 - Wow, I'm glad I watched Legion, one of my favorites.

And Aubrey is the best, she just has to be cast in a big cb movie.

This gif made me think about a gender-swapped Mad Hatter, but that was a really stupid idea.

@hazapez - Maybe.

But whenever she smiles, she kinda has this look that would definitely fit a villain.

And those eyes!

She would be a damn good Black Cat!

This Riddler has got to be the most drastic cosmetic departure from any live action Batman iteration and its comic book counterpart right? Bane had the mask and muscles, Joker was still a clown in a suit, Scarecrow had the mask but this Riddler just has a barely green shaded jacket. Not a bad thing per say, just highlighting.
BraxtonHicks
BraxtonHicks - 12/20/2021, 3:21 PM
@PhantomCelery - I remember being here and everyone was worried about Crane in a 3 piece suit instead of his Scarecrow garb but Nolan had pulled it off in Begins...
4thMaster
4thMaster - 12/20/2021, 9:22 PM
@PhantomCelery - I still think Bane edges it as a bigger cosmetic departure. IMO The look of the mask is as big a departure from Riddler's usual mask as Bane's was in TDKR. Riddler here still has the distinctive question marked green jacket, even when the rest of the look runs away from the trad look, while neither of Bane's distinct characteristics, the lucha-libre mask and the venom tubes, where kept.

If this surpasses TDK as the greatest Batman movie made, does that mean it’s the greatest CBM ever since that film is regarded as the goat of CBMs?

@Cbmfilmjunkie - I still think Begins is a better Batman film. The Dark Knight is fantastic but the more I rewatch it, it feels like it runs a bit out if steam in the third act.
