Ultimate Edition Powers BATMAN V SUPERMAN To #1 Home Video Spot

With the extended cut containing an extra 30-minutes, Batman v Superman shot to the top of the home video charts last week. Continue on to see the split between the Ultimate Edition and theatrical cut.

Thanks to fans eager to see what Zack Snyder's original, 3-hr cut of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice looked like, the film was the #1 best selling home video release last week according to Nielsen's VideoScan First Alert. Of its total sales , 70% were for the Ultimate Edition blu-ray, while 30% were attributed to DVD sales, which only included the theatrical cut.  According to Variety, this figure marks "one of the highest first-week Blu-ray percentages ever for a major theatrical release new to disc.

Check out the Top 20 list below.  We'll find out if Dawn of Justice was able to hold on to the top spot this week when sales figures are released next Thursday.

The ultimate edition is so amazing. Terrific film. Removed the (very few) plot issues and pacing issues the theatrical version had. I love this movie so much.
