A lot of people, myself included, have begun to wonder whether the League of Shadows is actually part of THE DARK KNIGHT RISES. The last time we saw them they were trying to take down Gotham City in BATMAN BEGINS, and many of them were dressed in dark, ninja-like outfits. So then why are all of Bane’s thugs carrying guns and dressed in military fatigue in THE DARK KNIGHT RISES trailer if they’re supposedly part of the League? Maybe the League of Shadows really isn’t part of this movie after all.

Well, I think I’ve come across the most compelling evidence to support the claim that the League of Shadows is in fact a major part of THE DARK KNIGHT RISES. Below are two pictures from BATMAN BEGINS when Bruce Wayne first enters Ra’s al Ghul’s house atop the mountain. The men who come out from the shadows to greet him are dressed in almost the exact same military fatigue as Bane’s men (seen in the picture from TDKR trailer). How much more evidence can you ask for than that? I guess not everyone in the League of Shadows has to be a ninja.
