It was reported a few weeks ago that London's Osterley Park House would be used as the Wayne Manor in
The Dark Knight Rises, with many rooms closed off to the public, to accommodate interior shots. And now
Batman News just posted the following info concerning the usage of Wollaton Hall/Park in the film, saying that it will be closed down for filming to take place...
Now, thanks to My Nottingham, we know of another mansion that Christopher Nolan will be using as Wayne Manor. According to the site, Wollaton Hall and Park will be closed to the public from June 20th until July 6th, in order to enable “a film to have exclusive access to the site for filming”.
Like the site suggests, Wollaton Hall looks very similar to Mentmore Towers, which was used as Wayne Manor in
Batman Begins. Do you think that Wollaton would be a good place to use as Wayne Manor in the film? Anyways,
The Dark Knight Rises hits theaters July 20th, 2012!
