Zack Snyder Says He's Working On Getting Ben Affleck To Do A Standalone BATMAN Film
Batman v Superman and Justice League Part One director Zack Snyder says he's trying his best to get Ben Affleck on-board for a standalone Batman film. He also comments on the likelihood of Affleck directing.
Though Ben Affleck's talent agency seems to think he's already written a solo Batman film, director Zack Snyder indicates that whether he decides to actually do the film is still up in the air. Following Dawn of Justice, Affleck's Batman appears in Suicide Squad, Justice League Part One and Part Two, which would constitute the total number of films in his contract. Perhaps the Academy Award winner is waiting to see how a few more DCEU films are received before fully committing?
"I keep working on him, he's always said he's a one movie at a time guy. He's finishing editing his film, Live By Night and then he comes to Justice League and then after that, I think he's going to try and develop the story. Then we'll see if he likes it." When asked whether Affleck will also direct in addition to starring and writing the script, Snyder confirmed that's the idea everyone has in mind. "Oh yeah, for sure. I think he would. I think that's kind of the prerequisite, hopefully, for him doing [the film]."
