@Moesami - To be fair, if it were Miles Teller on that seat promoting Fant4stic, Kimmel's still going to say that he loved it. It's marketing, nothing else. Hope the movies excellent though!

@Moesami - I've found with Jimmy Kimmel, if he's not seen the movie or if he didn't like it, he will say it's, "Very, very good". If he describes it as anything else, it means that he actually did like it.

The marketing for BvS doesn't get its fair share of credit.

They've literally covered all bases with this movie!

I can't even sleep. I'm so excited!

@TheNiceGuyCast - One misguided trailer and everybody loses their minds! Just goes to show how high the stakes are, for haters and fans. Fans just want a great movie while haters need fodder to get hard over to validate their narrow range of interests.

@HEAVENORHECK - that trailer wasn't even bad. The Clark/Bruce/Lex interaction was amazing in my opinion.

@TheNiceGuyCast - It was a worthwhile lesson. I understand the backlash from informed fans over Doomsday, because they were already sold hard and didn't need third act material to sell them harder. Doomsday did help sell the movie to some people who couldn't make sense of the titular conflict, but that wasn't the only approach available to WB/DC.

The third trailer was the more elegant solution to getting people more intrigued and aware of the film. The simpler solution was to let audiences know that they were going to have fun, and to project confidence in the content.

I felt Trailer #2 was a big lesson in how to sell these Nolanverse-descended films. You can't sell them on smarts and promised story structure. It's better to focus on sheer thrills and artistry, the essence of what draws people to see these event films, even if there is more to them than revealing the surface allows.

@HEAVENORHECK - Well said!

The Dark Knight is my all-time favorite movie. This movie is similar in the sense that, a certain time before The Dark Knight's release, I just had a gut feeling that there was NO WAY that it could be anything short of amazing.

I'm getting that same feeling here. :)

@HEAVENORHECK - I think they put Doomsday in the trailer just so they could show Wonder Woman stopping the blast with her shield. They needed some way to introduce her -as- Wonder Woman, and if that's where she enters the movie, then that's all they have available to show of her.

I feel bad for Jimmy that they cut out his scene from the movie. :(

"Stop...or I'll stop you!"

"You'll try."

Another reason they probably cut out this scene is because you can tell that's David S. Goyer's dialogue from an earlier draft. Screw them though. David's my boy. Demonic Toys was awesome yo!
