Have A Listen To A Track From Hans Zimmer's BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE Score: "Men Are Still Good"

A full track (or most of it anyway) from Hans Zimmer's Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice score has been officially released online. Have a listen to the rather epic "Men Are Still Good" after the jump...

“Following his titanic struggle against General Zod, Metropolis has been razed to the ground and Superman is the most controversial figure in the world. While for many he is still an emblem of hope, a growing number of people consider him a threat to humanity, seeking justice for the chaos he has brought to Earth.

As far as Bruce Wayne is concerned, Superman is clearly a danger to society. He fears for the future of the world with such a reckless power left ungoverned, and so he dons his mask and cape to right Superman’s wrongs. The rivalry between them is furious, fueled by bitterness and vengeance, and nothing can dissuade them from waging this war. However, a dark new threat arises in the form of a third man: one who has a power greater than either of them to endanger the world and cause total destruction.

The superhero stand-off that the world has been waiting for is finally arriving in cinemas, with an all-star cast bringing to life the characters we all love. Zack Snyder (300) returns as director following the huge success of 2013’s Man of Steel, along with Henry Cavill (The Man from U.N.C.L.E.) in the role of Superman. Also starring Ben Affleck (Gone Girl) as Batman, Amy Adams (American Hustle) as Lois Lane, and Gal Gadot (Fast & Furious 7) as Wonder Woman, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is an explosive, action-packed blockbuster that is sure to thrill DC fans everywhere.”

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice hits theaters March 25th, 2016.

Eh, sounds okay, it's like a weird combination of both the old themes and the nolan theme. Don't know if i'm closer to liking it or hating it.

Sounds like Danny Elfman, Hans Zimmer and the Batman animated series all mixed in one.

Loved Junkie XL's Mad Max work, but this was kinda bland. Not feeling the drums.

However, the Doomsday fight music sounds DAMN GOOD!

To those who say Hans Zimmer is a one-trick pony:

Gladiator - "Now We Are Free"

The Last Samurai - "A Way Of Life"

Pirates of the Caribbean - "He's A Pirate"

Batman Begins - "Molossus"

The Dark Knight - "Like A Dog Chasing Cars"

The Dark Knight Rises - "Rise"

Inception - "Time"

Interstellar - "Cornfield Chase"

Man of Steel - "Flight"

Out of these, the ones that sound similar are the three Dark Knight Trilogy tracks but that's because they're the same franchise and carry the same theme. But each one still sounds unique to its own. I can pick out the individual track just by listening to it and I know which film it belongs to.

@LebronsHairline - Have you read about or watch anything regarding the conception of that musical score? Chris Nolan approached Hans before the script was even written and worked alongside him the entire production of the film so that the score would be as much a part of the movie as the characters were. That's how movie scores should be.

@hgokuh - Right!? What's so ironic is that Junkie had a track released for Deadpool that is literally listed as the article right before this one and there's all sorts of fan-boying going on in there! lol

@Earthbound - Zimmer became popular and a go to guy because of his awesome tracks.. this is one of the reasons he gets so much hate. - Haters Bible Ch4:14

@TyrantBoss - "It is basically just a series of notes assembled in a sequence designed to make music." You dfo realize that you literally just described music in general, right? But I see what you are trying to say and I have two responses: 1) Hans Summer's music may not be playfully whimsical like the catchy tunes of the 70s and 80s, they may not be the time of tracks you whistle while you work, but they are nothing but emotional. Look at the development of the soundtrack for Interstellar and how deep the emotion is in that music. It was so brilliantly thought out and just listening to the soundtrack makes me want to watch the movie again. His music is rich and memorable otherwise not as many people would be aware of who he is. 2) I think your judgement on his films is just pure bias cause its not your taste and that's fine, however, Hans Summer puts more emotion into his work than most Hollywood composers today and I think Hollywood history will look favorably on him for a long time. But that's my opinion. 😉
