How and Why Lex creates DOOMSDAY!

There have been a slew of complaints with Doomsday in the last trailer, but are they called for?

What is going on guys, I am back with another editorial video on the HOW, and the WHY, Lex creates Doomsday in "Batman v Superman". How does "Man of Steel" tie into his creation? I also address some of the concerns fans have with the inclusion of Doomsday and changing the origin!

THIS is what everyone should watch. Good work. I agree with everything you said, and I like what you pointed out in the trailer. I did not notice Lex was in the Scout Ship from MOS.

If this theory is true it makes zero sense. That does not mean that it is not correct but it makes Luthor sound stupid. We know that Luthor wants to kill Superman but to create ANOTHER super powerful being to do so is retarded for this reason. No matter who wins that fight, you still are left with at least one super powered being in the world. Thus you are back to square one. If Warner Brothers/DC tries to insert some plot device in which Luthor can control Doomsday...assuming that is who it is...then they have compromised the character ala the Mandarin since one of the defining aspects of Doomsday is that he cannot be stopped or controlled. So they would end up changing the very nature of the character. While it is a sound idea that might be in the film, ifit is so then it is ill conceived.

@Forthas Im sure Luthors intention is to control him. Goes wrong, and Superman will have to destroy him.

But lets not pretend Doomsday is a some great character with depth and personality. They can do almost anything to him without "compromising the character". He is a walking, punching, plot device used to kill Superman, nothing more.

I don't use Twitter, but I thumbed this, and I would definitely repost it.

Great theories. I totally agree with what your saying, and I love that we can finally have these types of conversations about the DCEU.

Can't wait to see how the story unfolds on screen.

Good video, thumbed!

There's no doubt he will change, but overall Doomsday looks like a rehashing of recent baddies (cave troll/abomination/ninja turtle) and it's going to turn the masses off and some excitement for some of us. The fact is it was either a lazy effort, or they wanted to show him early on. The effect is most people laugh at how stupid he looks and it hurts word of mouth.

The dialogue is a bit weak and Jessie looks like a pretty risky Lex Luthor has now gone south. The trailer also gives away much of the plot. There was no reason to show WW saving Bats and even worse with the cheese line "she with you?" to follow it up.

Will I watch the movie? Sure, I'm a huge Superman fan and while I'm a little tired of Batman (not a fan of Batfleck), it's still good to see him too. The big question isn't the comic fan, but the general audience. I think this trailer falls behind Civil War and Marvel's family appeal. Idiots crying for an R rater DC universe don't understand simple business, but even WB seems to miss the ship too. Kids want a superhero to aspire too and it's like Captain America has replaced Superman as the ultimate boy scout.

Nice work. I think that they probably have something great in mind. I'm not worried at all about this film.

I still wonder if it's some genetic "booby-trap". The Kryptonians, being so xenophobic, might have left traps to ensure that their genetic code couldn't be tampered with. Luthor being Luthor probably set it off.

Considering the length of this film, I have a hard time believing that they gave too much away.

@Maxi91291

That might explain the skin condition. Cosmic herpes. But that was only a threat when they were colonizing.

@clarkman

That's what I'm thinking and Luthor, once again, being Luthor, he will believe that he has created something "new" rather than activating something old. It will play into his ego-maniacal mindset and delude him into believing that he's smarter than he truly is (the "classic" Lex Luthor trap)

@Maxi91291

And I think we all KNEW that Luthor (even in his armor) is not a sufficient enough threat to require the Trinity. Everyone HAD to know that something bigger was coming.

Good theory.
The trailer still did a disservice to the movie, though.

Nice.

@loki668

Totally, there's so much more going on in the movie, for me, the trailer didn't spoil much, plus there were already so many theories about Doomsday showing up.... and the synopsis and the "Dawn Of Justice" in the name of the movie already confirmed that there would be another threat

Personally, I'm loving it, everything the trailer revealed got me more hyped for the movie

What tipped me off was the blast that Batman has to dodge. It was clearly "heat-vision" but the size of the blast made me think that it was someone other than Supes.

This movie is going to be awesome!! Plus, if Sauron had THIS cave troll, LOTR would have ended in about five minutes.

And I disagree with those thinking that it's too soon for Doomsday. Big "D" is hardly a Shakespearean villain. He's pretty one-dimensional and perfect to use as a catalyst to bring the Trinity together. Plus, we get the visual goodies of them kicking the shit out of Doomsday.
