VFX Supervisor John Desjardin Promises "Iconic" Imagery In BATMAN VS. SUPERMAN

As you might expect, Zack Snyder is preparing to make the dreams of comic book fans come true when the world's two biggest superheroes finally stand side by side on the big screen in 2015. Talking to Bleeding Cool, VFX Supervisor John Desjardin shared his thoughts on the director's vision for Batman Vs. Superman, and like Ben Affleck earlier today, he clearly has high hopes for the movie! Be sure to click on the link at the bottom of the page to read the full interview.

"I was working on Batman-Superman right before this interview, a lengthy discussion with Zack looking at a bunch of drawings he’d made on his whiteboard that charted some iconic representations of… well, of things we’re going to have to try and do. Zack told me two weeks before Comic Con exactly how he was going to present the Batman announcement, and it was exactly the way he did present it. I got chills up my spine. What I want to get out of this movie is helping Zack tell a satisfying version of these characters, a version that nobody has seen on screen yet, but when audiences watch it they’re going to say “That’s what we always wanted to see but we hadn’t seen it yet.” Touch wood, because we have a long way to go, but the course is charted and we’re set to bring those ideas onto the screen, that something we haven’t seen before."

If there's one thing this movie's gonna have; it's iconic imagery.

Fantastic! Another nail in the coffin for the "grounded, Nolanized copycat Batman" theory.

Age of Ultron will make close to 1.8 billion. BvS will make probably 1.2 bill. But lets be honest people may not enjoy the darkness as MoS was showing that.

here's the problem. The general audience does nothing but talk trash on the DC films. Everyone I know that isn't a CB fan hates on MoS. TDK was good but other then that I havn't heard good about DC stuff. So hopefully this breaks that mold. otherwise we will get another poor BO showing like MoS (Not horrid but it should have done about 800 million)

@ Dougie

All people will care about is knowing that Batman and Superman will be on the screen together. They will not give two craps about MOS!

@Batmaniac, nobody said the tone was going to be lighter; let's be clear. I don't have a problem with the darker DC tone of TDK trilogy or MoS. I am one of he MoS supporters actually. I really enjoyed BB and the TDK.

What I'm saying is we are NOT going to get a run of the mill tough guy in a batsuit like Nolan gave us. He will be more like the comic book version than drowned in realism.
