Production is finally underway on Black Adam, and a new description from the movie's set sheds some light on how Hawkman will be portrayed in the DC Comics adaptation.

Aldis Hodge is playing this interpretation of the character, and according to intel shared by Murphy's Multiverse, Hawkman's Thanagarian Star Cruiser will indeed be included in the movie. This isn't actually a huge surprise as some leaked set photos have indicated that it would be the case, but a description of the ship confirms the hero's alien origins in the DC Extended Universe.

"It’s sleek...has this curved look to it," it reads. "A raised circular sitting area in the back and a big set of long red lights that curve from the back up across the ceiling. There's a medical bay nook (reclined bed with instruments around it) and something that looks like a bar with class chairs. Hawkman symbol in gold on the floor in the center. Also one of the hallways has a Hawkman logo in red glowing at the end of it."

Something tells us that the Justice Society might be making use of that ship, but the inclusion of the Star Cruiser indicates that Black Adam's Hawkman will be the alien police officer from DC's Silver Age. During that era, Katar Hol (Hawkman) and Shayera Hol (Hawkgirl) arrived on Earth to arrest a fleeing criminal, and that could explain the latter's absence from this story.

After all, if they got separated upon landing, it's possible Hawkman has spent years attempting to find her. Alternatively, he may have been unable to fly home if the ship needed to be repaired and Shayera might well be waiting for him on Thanagar (only to be introduced in a Black Adam sequel or future DCEU project).

Black Adam is set to be released in theaters on July 29, 2022.
