After what feels like a lifetime, Superman is finally back in the DCEU. Thanks to Dwayne Johnson. It looks like 6 years in the making is about to come to the end during the mid end credit scene.

Superman is about to return to the DCEU after a long absence. And while we never thought we would see Henry Cavill as Superman again. Dwayne Johnson has confirmed that Superman is returning!

According to Dwayne Johnson and Dany Garcia, the producers of Black Adam has officially announced that Superman will be returning to the big screen. And not only that, but it's Henry Cavill.

"Welcome home" said Dwayne Johnson to Entertainment Tonight when asked about Henry Cavill's cameo appearance in the much anticipated comic book movie.

Henry Cavill was last seen in Zack Snyder's Justice League. Which was met with critical praise, including many 4 or 5 star reviews. This will be the fourth DC movie to feature Henry Cavill's Superman. He is featured in the other movies Man of Steel, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Justice League.

Dwayne Johnson just has *this* to say to Henry Cavill after getting Superman to return to the DCEU in #BlackAdam: "Welcome home."

400 words is bulls***. So enjoy some more random crap.

Dwayne Johnson as Teth-Adam / Black Adam:
An antihero from Kahndaq who was imprisoned for 5,000 years. He will become the arch-rival of the superhero Shazam and shares his powers from the ancient wizard of the same name. Johnson previously voiced the character in the unrelated animated film, DC League of Super-Pets (2022) in a post-credits cameo role
Aldis Hodge as Carter Hall / Hawkman:
An archaeologist who is the reincarnation of the Egyptian prince who enslaved Black Adam, and has the power of flight from his Nth metal wings. He is the leader of the Justice Society of America (JSA).
Noah Centineo as Albert "Al" Rothstein / Atom Smasher: A member of the JSA who can control his molecular structure and manipulate his size and strength.
Sarah Shahi as Adrianna Tomaz / Isis: A university professor and resistance fighter in Kahndaq.
Marwan Kenzari as Ishmael Gregor / Sabbac:
The militant leader of the criminal organization Intergang, whom Black Adam must work with the Justice Society to bring down.
Quintessa Swindell as Maxine Hunkel / Cyclone: A member of the JSA who can control wind and generate sound.[
Bodhi Sabongui as Amon: Adrianna's son.
Pierce Brosnan as Kent Nelson / Doctor Fate:

In ancient Kahndaq, Teth Adam was bestowed the almighty powers of the gods. After using these powers for vengeance, he was imprisoned, becoming Black Adam. Nearly 5,000 years have passed, and Black Adam has gone from man to myth to legend. Now free, his unique form of justice, born out of rage, is challenged by modern-day heroes who form the Justice Society: Hawkman, Dr. Fate, Atom Smasher and Cyclone.

You can just tell how passionate he is about this, kinda reminds me of Ryan Reynolds with Deadpool first movie. I'm looking forward to watching this in theatres, haven't seen a movie since Top Gun.

@SethRollins A copy/paste of who Black Adam is in the comics, followed by some wild and random speculations on how he'll be portrayed would've easily gotten you the 400 words essay 😉

Poor Cavill. Went from being the pillar an entire universe was going to be built around, to antagonist second billed co-star, to McGuffin, and now clickbait cameo that isn't even a part of the story. At this rate his next appearance will be as a random kid's t-shirt in a crowd scene.

@Reeds2Much - Superman doesnt deserve to be treated like this

At no point he mentions Henry or Superman in the interview...granted, he is obviously hinting at it, but he doesnt mention neither the actor nor the character.
Anyway, so far the early rections seem mixed, and we know they usually go easy on these móviles...
A Shame it would seem they themselves know the nostalgia bait cameo is the only thing they have going for, also a shame Superman has been reduced to this...
At this point I'm just nostalgic for the times when they made actual movies and not nostalgia bait parades with no soul, heart, or even brains, just eat popcorn and enjoy the dopamine shot.

I’ve seen almost all the DC movies in the theater (shame on me, I guess), but the trailer(a) for this do not inspire me to see this in the cinema whatsoever. I can easily wait 45 days to smoke a bowl while watching it at home.

And spoiled - by the star in a major outlet - mid credits scene do not serve any further to get my butt out to the theater for this. 🥱

@Santanaonfire - Fair enough, but you won't be seeing it in 45 days. The new regime killed that. They will squeeze it for awhile before they drop it onto Max.
