Black Panther is set to be released on DVD and Blu-ray on May 15th and seeing as that's just weeks after the release of Avengers: Infinity War, there will be no better time to relive T'Challa's adventure than then. Now, Marvel Studios has released a full list of bonus material for the critically acclaimed release and while there are plenty of featurettes, there won't really be too many deleted scenes.

As you can see, it doesn't sound like they'll add an awful lot to the movie but director Ryan Coogler has said on numerous occasions in the past that he was pleased with the final cut of Black Panther

  • U.N. Meet and Greet
  • Okoye And W’Kabi Discuss the Future of Wakanda
  • T’Challa Remembers His Father
  • Voices from the Past
As for the special features, they sound like your typical behind the scenes look at a Marvel movie but the most exciting thing here has to be the inclusion of an Ant-Man and The Wasp sneak peek.

  • Director’s Intro
  • From Page to Screen: A Roundtable Discussion - Delve into the film’s making
  • Crowning of a New King – Explore the world of “Black Panther” in all its color and complexity
  • The Warriors Within – Get to know Wakanda’s women and the actors who portray them
  • The Hidden Kingdom Revealed – Wakanda’s diverse people
  • Wakanda Revealed: Exploring the Technology
  • Gag Reel
  • Exclusive Sneak Peek at “Ant-Man and The Wasp”
  • Marvel Studios the First Ten Years: Connecting the Universe
  • Director’s Commentary

There's a lot of cool stuff there but Coogler's Director's Commentary will more than likely be the highlight outside of the Ant-Man and The Wasp content but the gag reel will no doubt be great fun.

I wish Black Panther came out just a little bit earlier so I could squeeze it into my MCU rewatch before Infinity War comes out.

I wish W'Kabi and Okoye had a bit more screentime. I don't see why they couldn't have left a few of their scenes in.

But it probably killed the pacing of the film.

@L0RDbuckethead - I would've preferred they left it. All you needed was one integral scene to further flesh their relationship out. Coogler said it was some of the best acting he had ever witnessed. I cant wait to see what it looks like.

L0RDbuckethead - 4/10/2018, 1:36 PM
@BlackBeltJones - Yeah, I felt like their relationship wasn't touched on hardly at all except for when Okoye kept referring to W'Kabi as "my love", etc.

BP had 4 hours of footage apparently and I would watch the hell out of it.

Its so obvious they shot a lot more. I remember those leaked set pics of Oakland School District buses. We may have gotten more of Killmonger's childhood.

@BlackBeltJones - I was wondering where those went, lol. I remember they had a school bus and everything. I like what we got at the end of the day A LOT, but some few scenes here and there would have just further elevated the film.

I want to see that Okoye & W'Kabi and that other T'Challa and Zuri scene. I think they did a good enough job with both of these relationships, but they could have been better too. Zuri and T'Challa in my opinion had one of the best interactions in the film when T'Challa confronts him.

GhostDog - 4/10/2018, 2:25 PM
@BlindWedjat - looks like those two scenes are included on the deleted list. Im excited to see them.

Yea I remember those buses distinctly. Something tells me there was more Oakland stuff. Nate Moore even mentioned on an Empire podcast that we were going to spend more time in the Hall of Kings and see every mask that belonged to every Panther king.

Coogler said that the London heist was supposed to be longer too during another podcast I heard.

I'm digging these director intros they've been including on their blu-rays for the past few movies. Glad to see they're still going.

@BlindWedjat - JAJA ikr? i was like : "just look at that boy, he wouldn't hurt a f.....OH SHIT DID HE JUST SHOT HIS GIRL LIKE IT WAS NOTHING? ya he ain't shitting around". I mean the man poisoned a woman while giving her a
wakandian history lesson. MBJ killed it.

GhostDog
GhostDog - 4/10/2018, 2:29 PM
@JosephCronos92 - you could tell MBJ had fun being the bad guy.

He brought a certain energy to it. A definitive cool. It was like Tupac vs. Panther haha.

If Panther was made in the 90s, Pac would've been Killmonger. I remember Coogler said Killmonger was them wanting to put Pac in a Marvel film. Bring his energy.

JosephCronos92
JosephCronos92 - 4/10/2018, 2:59 PM
@BlackBeltJones - Nailed it. Tupac was the one who poped up in my head when Killmonger showed up, the moment it sold it to me was the throne room scene and the waterfall battle.

"I want the throne"
"ASK ME WHO I AM"
"Hey Auntie"
"Is this your king?! Is this your king?! Nah, i'm your king!"

" I had your father killed! Take me!"
"I'ma take you both, Uncle James!"

And i was like: there he is, right there. Coogler's a fantastic filmmaker, love the layers and paralels, he did a fantastic job with the actors and the whole movie overall. He's one of my favorites now, Black Panther made sure of that.
GhostDog
GhostDog - 4/10/2018, 3:37 PM
@JosephCronos92 - What was great is that Tupac lived in the Bay and his family were prominent members sof the Black Panther Party.

The parallel is strong there. I read Coogler talking about how Tupac informed on Killmonger. Both products of the inner city but highly intelligent, highly volatile and products of the ideology of the Panther Party.
JosephCronos92
JosephCronos92 - 4/10/2018, 5:19 PM
@BlackBeltJones - - Oh man that's some heavy stuff, didn't know that about Tupac parents, that's heavy.

I really like what Marvel Studios is doing with their villains, having them as parallels of real life and society. Like Zemo being a man who lost it all, a victim of ramifications who's lost it and just wants to see those who hurt him fall from grace, a silent victim with psychopath tendenciesi could say. Vulture being an everyday man, a family man and a father struggling to keep his life together and how far it would go to do so. Killmonger being a kid from Oakland believing in fairytails, growing with a mentality that his roots may not agree with ,living with the hustle of not being accepted and the anger of being neglected by his own blood, among more.

Heck even Ego reflected on how egomaniacs can be in this life, and Hela on how tiring can be to have [if] an elder of your family living among lies, and above that being neglected as well. It's interesting to have villains like these imo.
