BLACK PANTHER Running Time Possibly Revealed; Here's When We'll See The Final (?) Trailer

The running time for Black Panther has been revealed ahead of its release next month and we also now know when we'll get to see what will presumably be the final trailer for the Marvel Studios release.

Black Panther is the first big superhero movie set for release in 2018 and with Star Wars: The Last Jedi now in theaters, we can expect to see the marketing campaign for the Marvel Studios release to heat up in a big way over the next few weeks. Before we get to that, though, the running time for the movie may have been revealed by Event Cinemas as they list a running time of two hours and fifteen minutes.

That sounds about right and gives T'Challa's story plenty of room to breathe as he goes to battle with the villainous Erik Killmonger and Ulysses Klaue. Now, what's the deal with the movie's final trailer?

Well, it's being reported by multiple sources that a new "special look" at Black Panther will air next week (January 8th) on ESPN during the College Football National Championship. This is where most of us expected the first trailer for Solo: A Star Wars Story to debut, so it makes sense that this will actually be the final trailer for the Marvel Studios movie as opposed to a random featurette, clip, or whatever.

They definitely need to release a final trailer. There is obvious not much hype for this movie yet, although I, personally, can't wait to see it after that awesome second trailer.

This film needs very little promotion. It's theme and cultural diversity alone will cast a wide net over various targeted audiences. I can't friggin wait. Though, I wouldn't mind seeing a bit more action sequences.

@CopperCrow -

The meaning of Diversity is often misused so i can understand why you think it's diverse, however it does not mean that, it means a wide selection or mixture.

This film is arguably less diverse than The Last Jedi for example which presents multiple cultures,races and ethnicity while Black Panther is primarily focused on one culture,race and ethnicity.

Though i will admit that the different location and representation of a fictional culture inspired by various African aspects is going to be visually appealing and more unique than seeing another movie set in New York or somewhere similar. Some will admittedly be drawn to the movie due to this reason.

Though i dont think that alone would justify the film getting minimal promotion - and arguably i dont think it will get minimal promotion, i expect we'll see more promotion closer to the movie. Even Infinity War makes Wakanda the focal point of the trailer in order to provide a bit of cross-promotion.

@Scarilian - Its adding diversity to the MCU not within itself. Also Wakanda is made up up several cultures/clans

To that one troll on reddit who made some believe this movie could have a 4 hours running time…
