Well, this came out of nowhere! As a special Friday treat, Marvel has debuted the very first offcial poster for Ryan Coogler's Black Panther, which will see Chadwick Boseman reprise the role of T'Challa from Captain America: Civil War.
There's not a whole lot to the image, but it does provide a look at the ruler of Wakanda on his throne, no doubt ready to pounce on whatever trouble may arise to threaten his kingdom.
In addition, it's been announced that the first teaser trailer for the film will air during tonight's game, so be sure to check back later on. In the meantime, let us know what you think of the poster and the updated synopsis in the usual place.
Marvel Studios’ “Black Panther” follows T’Challa who, after the death of his father, the King of Wakanda, returns home to the isolated, technologically advanced African nation to succeed to the throne and take his rightful place as king. But when a powerful old enemy reappears, T’Challa’s mettle as king—and Black Panther—is tested when he is drawn into a formidable conflict that puts the fate of Wakanda and the entire world at risk. Faced with treachery and danger, the young king must rally his allies and release the full power of Black Panther to defeat his foes and secure the safety of his people and their way of life.
