As an early Christmas present, Marvel Studios has debuted a pretty kickass new TV spot for Ryan Coogler's highly-anticipated Black Panther, featuring the long-time protector of Wakanda finally stepping into the spotlight and introducing the world to his legend. 

Chadwick Boseman headlines an all-star cast that also features Michael B. Jordan, Lupita Nyong'o, Danai Gurira, Martin Freeman, Daniel Kaluuya, Andy Serkis, Letitia Wright, Florence Kasumba, Winston Duke, Sterling K. Brown, John Kani, Angela Bassett, and Forest Whitaker, amongst others.

Marvel Studios’ “Black Panther” follows T’Challa who, after the death of his father, the King of Wakanda, returns home to the isolated, technologically advanced African nation to succeed to the throne and take his rightful place as king. But when a powerful old enemy reappears, T’Challa’s mettle as king—and Black Panther—is tested when he is drawn into a formidable conflict that puts the fate of Wakanda and the entire world at risk. Faced with treachery and danger, the young king must rally his allies and release the full power of Black Panther to defeat his foes and secure the safety of his people and their way of life.

I hope they give the final Black Panther some gravitas rather than leaning into hip hop music.

@PsychoticSpaceRaccoon - I’m hoping it’s a mix, like a hip hop guardians of the galaxy where there’s a score that’s great but then you have the soundtrack kinda sprinkled in to accentuate certain moments

@PsychoticSpaceRaccoon - well it was somewhat confirmed African music will be in the film when we saw BTS photos of African drummers on set.

I think the hip hop in the trailer is just Coogler's voice shining through. His vibe.
