Birth.Movies.Death reports that Creed and Fruitvale Station director Ryan Coogler in in talks to take the helm of Black Panther for Marvel Studios. His name is one which has been thrown around for a while now, and the overwhelmingly positive reception to both of the movies above should be more than enough for you to have faith in Kevin Feige's decision! Like the title character of the movie, Cogler is black, and he actually had this to say in a recent interview when asked whether he believes it's important for somone with the same race as T'Challa to direct his movie. "I think that there is a potential for a greater truth when a filmmaker comes from a particular culture that they’re dealing with. That’s not to say that a filmmaker can’t work outside his or her cultural space. But I do believe that the opportunity for the film to have more nuance will come when you looking at filmmakers that bring a little bit of that from their personal experience." He certainly understands what's required then, and before you go doubting the legitmacy of this report, The Wrap has now confirmed that he's in negotiations! What do you guys think about this news?

Coogler would actually be a better fit for Cyborg. Also, I could've sworn this was already reported on here

PLEASE BE TRUE.

Creed was a worthy sequel and was a great passing of the torch. Adonis' "Philly steps" got me so hyped.

@Kr08 SHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. I thought that's morphing into a Teen Titans film?

@KurtWagner1225 Of course! Kiss Kiss Bang Bang is one of my favorite noirs and Shane black is a legend despite his reputation on this toxic site!

@KurtWagner1225 Agreed. Even Val Kilmer's son is in this! Very much a successor.

@KurtWagner1225 Yeah, Gosling's goofball comedy is just as great as his "handsome comedy". Kim Basinger back in a noir is great too. L.A. Confidential!

Creed is one of the best movies of the year, and Fruitvale Station was amazing. There is NOTHING bad about this. Ryan is a great name, and its good to get him signed before he starts to ask for more money. Lets's go baby!!!

That source though. I'll remain skeptical about this rumour, but do hope that it turns out to be true.

Except T'Challa is African not African American. There is a big difference.
