Black Panther has become an enormous hit for Marvel and its parent company Disney, so much so that Disney's CEO says that the property's brand is going to be getting a big boost in the coming months. This could even take the form of a ride at one of Disney's theme parks.
While addressing Wall Street analysts today, CEO Bob Iger said that there is an hour-long wait to meet the Black Panther character at Disneyland. When asked if the King of Wakanda has his own ride, Iger said the following:
"No. We haven't had a chance to build a ride. Though I'm sure there are people who are working on it."
If this does end up happening, it wouldn’t be a first for an MCU film. The Guardians of the Galaxy and Iron Man both have rides at Disneyland in California, while Marvel Super Hero Island is a major attraction at Florida’s Walt Disney World.
Iger also talked about Black Panther’s potential for merchandising.
"I pretty much guarantee that this coming Halloween and even Christmas, you know you'll be seeing a lot of Black Panther merchandise."
