GHOSTBUSTERS' Ernie Hudson Said To Be Up For 'T'Chaka' Role In BLACK PANTHER

We might just have some news on which actor will take on the second major role in Marvel's Black Panther movie. Ernie Hudson (Winston in both Ghostbusters films) is apparently "circling" the role of T'Challa's (Chadwick Boseman) father, King T'Chaka. More past the jump...

El Mayimbe is back with another Marvel scoop, and this one is sure to make Black Panther fans very happy. It looks like the next major role to be cast will be that of King T'Chaka; and according to Mayimbe Ernie Hudson (The Crow, Ghostbusters, OZ) is being looked at to play him. T'Chaka was T'Challa/Black Panther's Father, and in the comics held the title of Chieftain of Wakanda -- pledged to protect the sacred metal known as Vibranium. He was also an ally of Captain America's, and had superhuman strength, speed and agility thanks to a sacred herb that he alone was granted access to. Of course the movie version will probably differ significantly in that regard!

Hudson will be best know for playing Winston Zeddemore in the Ghostbusters flicks, but he's appeared in many popular movies since then including The Crow and The Hand That Rocks The Cradle. Most recently he was cast as King Poseidon in TV's Once Upon A Time.

This is just a rumor for now, but how would you feel if Hudson was cast as Black Panther's dear ol' Daddy? Sound off below.
