MARVEL'S THE PANTHER
STORY (Minor changes made to adjust film towards a suitable audience)
Set in the largest district community of South Africa known as Wakanda, political views are battled and war is brewing after the death of leader T'Chaka. His adopted son T'Challa is next in the line and must battle against the secret supremacy that conspire against his royal family as The Panther.
PREFERRED DIRECTOR: TIM STORY
Say what will you about him but Tim Story is a fantastic director (no pun intended). Look he may have directed the last two failed Fantastic Four films but they clearly weren't his fault as we now know Fox has no idea what they have been doing with the franchise. Compare his Fantastic Four films to the newer one anyway and you will find the right elements that will make him suitable and would want fans to give him another chance. They had heart and a sense of fun and emotion. There was an actual display of power and the feeling of what family is. That is what Tim Story tried to bring to his Fantastic Four films and there should always be room to try again. With a film like Black Panther he could bring those elements together perfectly.
CAST (Minor changes made to adjust film towards a suitable audience)
CHADWICK BOSEMAN RETURNING AS T'CHALLA / THE BLACK PANTHER
Fantastic choice to play this character, well done by Marvel. I look forward to seeing him in Captain America: Civil War.
ALLISON TOLMAN AS MONICA LYNNE
Monica Lynne would make an excellent love interest character in the film. Maybe as a reporter gathering news on Wakanda and somehow she falls in love with T'Challa by chance. Allison Tolman is a great actress as seen in the Fargo TV series and would be perfect in this role.
RICHARD GERE AS T'CHAKA
Richard Gere is an excellent veteran actor who has yet to star in a comic book film. He should definitely follow in the likes of Robert Redford and join the MCU in some capacity. T'Chaka would be a great role for him to play and would be an amazing screen presence to see.
NAOMI WATTS AS N'YAMI
In the comics N'Yami was the birth mother of T'Challa. Naomi Watts is another fantastic actress and would be great in this minor role which would mostly be limited to flashbacks only.
BRYAN CRANSTON AS S'YAN
Brother to T'Chaka who became a leading political adviser for Wakanda. Breaking Bad, nuff said. Bryan Cranston really has a commanding presence on screen which would make him highly believable in this role and to tackle such responsibilities of this character.
BILL MURRAY AS N'GASSI
N'Gassi is seen as an elder who is close to T'Challa and acted as sorts as a close mentor to him. Bill Murray is not only great in comedic roles but dramatic roles also. He is at the perfect age this character would be right for him. He could also bring some humor and wit into the film.
DOLPH LUNDGREN AS ZURI
Zuri is a warrior and was a loyal companion to T'Chaka before his death. He later served alongside T'Challa in his conquest to further safeguard Wakanda. I can't think of any other better actor than Dolph Lundgren for this role. To play a hard battle worn tribal warrior like this character would be perfect for him. He has look and attitude for a character like Zuri.
CALLISTA FLOCKHART AS RAMONDA
Ramonda is the former queen of Wakanda and mother to a very important character, Suri. Her and T'Challa have had an uneasy history in the comics before he banished then welcomed back her into Wakanda. Callista Flockhart is a great actress who would be excellent in this role, she will be seen in the upcoming Supergirl series.
SHAILENE WOODLEY AS SHURI
Suri is T'Challa's sister and heiress to the throne of Wakanda. She is also not afraid to get her hands dirty as she has put on the Black Panther title numerous times within the comic in an effort to keep peace to Wakanda. Woodley is a great actress and would be perfect in a physical and commanding role like this. This would definitely elevate her career.
DANIELLE RADCLIFE AS WHITE WOLF
In the comics White Wolf was the adopted son of T'Chaka who grew a bitter hatred towards T'Challa as he was favored more than him. Eventually things got ugly and bad blood between them turned to war. Danielle Radclife is a fantastic actor and he has so much potential outside those Harry Potter films and goes to show in previous works like Horns. He would make the perfect rival towards The Black Panther in the film.
RONDA ROUSEY AS ERIKA KILLMONGER
Erik Killmonger in the comics originally was a male character whos family was caught in a web of conspiracy which involved Klaw and a bitter hatred towards T'Challa. There really isn't that many female villains in the MCU but if I was to make a male villain into a female this would be the perfect character. Even especially for someone like Ronda Rousey who has recently vouched for a role in the MCU. She has the strength and toughness to make this character come to life.
TOM HARDY AS MAN-APE
Man-Ape is one of the greatest warriors in Wakanda next to T'Challa and untimely plotted to take the throne from him as he felt he wasn't suited enough as a warrior and king. Do I need to say anything about Tom Hardy's acting talents? This dude is solid and recently coming off his success as Mad Max maybe a smaller role might be good for him, if in that case this role would be amazing to see him in.
EVA GREEN AS BAST THE PANTHER GODDESS
Although rarely seen, Bast The Panther Goddess has been living on Earth for many decades being worshipped as The Panther God. Somehow Eva Green has a mystical presence to her performance every time she is on screen, she is just an amazing actress who would suit this role perfectly and one I would love to see in a Marvel film.
TRAI BYERS AS NAMOR
I would love to see Namor in some capacity and the perfect movie if not a solo film to introduce him first would be in The Black Panther film considering the characters history with The Black Panther himself. Trai Byers would make a welcome addition as the character coming off his role in Empire.
