Black Panther features an almost entirely black cast and has exceeded expectations at the box office in a way that no one predicted. In the process, the movie has proved that superhero movies which feature a significant amount of diversity can succeed. That surely opens the door to future Marvel movies like Captain Marvel and Black Widow being hits and Chris Evans has seemingly confirmed that the latter is happening. Bear in mind that's only been rumoured to be in the works up until now.
"There's nothing [Marvel Studios] can't do," the actor confidently declares in the video below. "And I'm sure it's gonna have the exact same effect when Captain Marvel comes out, and then the Black Widow movie comes out. Marvel just has the winning recipe and they're kind of one step ahead of everybody else." It could just be that he's basing these comments on online reports but who knows!
While it appears as if Scarlett Johansson's Black Widow will receive the spotlight in Marvel's Phase 4, Evans' future as Captain America isn't quite so clear. Either way, the Avengers: Infinity War star is clearly excited about what comes next for the Marvel Cinematic Universe's more diverse heroes and he makes a very valid point about Black Panther here.
