Marvel Is Gearing Up To Return To South Korea To Shoot A Wild Chase Sequence For BLACK PANTHER

After shooting parts of Avengers: Age of Ultron in Seoul back in 2015, it sounds like Marvel Studios is preparing to head back to Korea fairly soon for one of their upcoming movies, Black Panther!

Filming is currently underway in Atlanta for Marvel Studios' eighteenth theatrical production, Black Panther, and while the studio has largely kept most of the shoot behind closed doors, it sounds like they may just be prepping to film a major outdoors action sequence in the not-so-distant future.

According to Variety, the production team for the Ryan Coogler-directed feature will be making the trek to Busan, South Korea later this year and will use the port city as the backdrop for a massive chase scene involving major characters. The report adds that a number of notable landmarks, including Gwangalli beach, Gwangan Bridge, and the Jagalchi fish market near Nampodong will be seen during the extended sequence.

Mr. Romance Film, a local production service company, confirmed the shoot and may have let slip a small plot detail or two: “The shoot, which will involve some 150 cars and more than 700 people, is a car chase scene with the protagonist and the villain... It will also involve helicopter(s) and guns (firing blanks) and may cause noise as well as traffic restrictions.” Well, judging by those comments, it's probably a safe bet to say that Chadwick Boseman and Michael B. Jordan will both be on-hand, meaning we'll all very likely be treated to a ton of set photos featuring (potential) first looks at both of their costumes.

This is Marvel's second production to film in South Korea, following Joss Whedon's Avengers: Age of Ultron, which filmed a few scenes in Seoul back in early 2015.

So, what do you guys think? Sound off with your thoughts below!

“Black Panther” follows T’Challa who, after the events of “Captain America: Civil War,” returns home to the isolated, technologically advanced African nation of Wakanda to take his place as King. However, when an old enemy reappears on the radar, T’Challa’s mettle as King and Black Panther is tested when he is drawn into a conflict that puts the entire fate of Wakanda and the world at risk.

Black Panther features:
Director: Ryan Coogler
Chadwick Boseman as T'Challa/Black Panther
Michael B. Jordan as Erik Killmonger
Lupita Nyong'o as Nakia
Danai Gurira as Okoye
Winston Duke as M'Baku/Man-Ape
Andy Serkis as Ulysses Klaue/Klaw
Forest Whitaker as Zuri
Martin Freeman as Everett Ross
Florence Kasumba as Ayo
Daniel Kaluuya as W'Kabi
Angela Bassett as Ramonda
Letitia Wright in an undisclosed role
Sterling K. Brown as N’Jobu
Atandwa Kani as Young T'Chaka
Phylicia Rashad in an undisclosed role

I can't wait for this movie. The Russos will always have my top place in the MCU, so I'm pumped for Infinity War. But man if this is not my most anticipated upcoming MCU movie because of one man alone: Ryan Coogler. I still can't believe they got him. Creed was amazing. The cast for this movie is insane, and I have utter faith for it all cause of Coogler. An amazing actor, performance and introduction the inherited from Civil War.

Perhaps it will end up surpassing the chase scene from Civil War.

On the long run it could mean that any movie involving Black Panther will have & must show a chase scene one way or other.
