We now know that Black Widow will be released simultaneously in theaters and on Disney+ this July, but if you're hoping to watch the movie at home you'll have to pay $29.99 to do so.
That's not too bad considering how much it costs to take an entire family to an IMAX screening these days, but there's obviously something to be said for that big screen experience. Regardless, a fresh look at the Marvel Studios movie has now been revealed thanks to some newly surfaced stills.
As you can see, the spotlight is put squarely on Natasha Romanoff and Yelena Belova. The former's new costume looks pretty terrific, while the latter is expected to become the MCU's new Black Widow. Her role in Hawkeye has already been confirmed, so she clearly makes it out of this movie alive.
"In Marvel Studios’ action-packed spy thriller Black Widow, Natasha Romanoff aka Black Widow confronts the darker parts of her ledger when a dangerous conspiracy with ties to her past arises," reads the synopsis for the movie. "Pursued by a force that will stop at nothing to bring her down, Natasha must deal with her history as a spy and the broken relationships left in her wake long before she became an Avenger."
In the movie, Scarlett Johansson reprises her role as Natasha/Black Widow, Florence Pugh stars as Yelena, David Harbour portrays Alexei/The Red Guardian, and Rachel Weisz is Melina. Black Widow is directed by Cate Shortland and produced by Kevin Feige; Black Widow - the first big screen story in Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe - arrives on July 9th.
