Featuring snippets about Thor: The Dark World, next year's X-Men: Days of Future Past & Captain America: The Winter Soldier, ScreenDaily has provided highlights of Fox's and Disney's presentations. Disney apparently opened its presentation with a never-before-seen production featurette for Thor: The Dark World, and followed up with footage and behind-the-scenes footage from Captain America The Winter Soldier. Co-Director Joe Russo said in a taped interview: "It's going to be much grittier than any Marvel movie to date."

In addition to an action scene from The Wolverine, Fox, meanwhile, showed Bryan Singer’s behind-the-scenes video tour of the X-Men: Days of Future Past. set. The director revealed that the "in-between-quel" "takes place all over the world, including in Russia, China, France, Washington D.C., New York, Japan," and beyond. "So there'll be more of an international flair than the other films."

Anyhow, X-Men: Days of Future Past is currently filming, and stars Hugh Jackman, James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, Patrick Stewart, Michael Fassbender,, Ian McKellen, Nicholas Hoult, Omar Sy, Peter Dinklage, Halle Berry, Adan Canto, Fan Bingbing, Anna Paquin, Evan Peters, Daniel Cudmore, Ellen Page and Booboo Stewart. “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” picks up where “Marvel’s The Avengers” left off, as Steve Rogers struggles to embrace his role in the modern world and teams up with Natasha Romanoff, aka Black Widow, to battle a powerful yet shadowy enemy in present-day Washington, D.C. Starring Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Cobie Smulders, Frank Grillo, Georges St-Pierre, Hayley Atwell, Toby Jones, Emily VanCamp and Maximiliano Hernández with Samuel L. Jackson and Robert Redford, “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” is directed by the team of Anthony and Joe Russo from a screenplay written by Christopher Markus & Stephen McFeely and is based on the ever-popular Marvel comic book series, first published in 1941. Marvel Studios’ President Kevin Feige is producing the film. Executive producers on the project include Alan Fine, Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Michael Grillo and Stan Lee. The creative production team on the film includes director of photography Trent Opaloch, production designer Peter Wenham, editors Jeffrey Ford, A.C.E. and Mary Jo Markey, A.C.E. and three time Oscar®-nominated costume designer Judianna Makovsky. “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” is set for release on April 4, 2014. @LucasMend I'm curious to see how DoFP turns out. Recently watched First Class and thought it was definitely an improvement over the trilogy so I believe they can make a decent X-Men movie but I'm worried about so many characters. I'll reserve any hopes or jumping to conclusions until I see a proper trailer.

I have high hopes for DoFP, but I wish they would split it into 2 movies. I just don't know how they will balance that many characters in only one flick.
nthiffault
nthiffault - 6/27/2013, 10:23 AM
@TwiztidThorn they'll balance it all out by making Wolverine the main focus and everybody else just a cameo. I wouldn't be surprised.

Cant believe I'm saying this but I'm ACTUALLY looking forward to DOFP... surely Fox has learned from Marvel Studios' lead and will have some faith in the source material.

For all of their faults (& they are legion) X1, X2 & 1st Class are decent films.

Today, at approximately 4pm European time the COMICBOOKMOVIE server went down. No doubt this was a cyber attack aimed against comic book movie fans all over the world. After nearly 15 minutes after the attack panic begin to spread. People started to think about others things, like hobbies and finding work. Seeing the sun. Connecting with their family ...

@nthiffault Sadly you're probably right. Don't get me wrong I love me some Wolverine, but it's time to let some other mutants shine.

@MexicanSuperman

Not from what I've seen. The Winter Soldier looks great as does The Dark World. Saw some of the scenes they were shooting last year and if they keep it, it will be needless to say that Thor and Malekith put up quite a fight.

@WorstUserName Ever

I agree X1 and X2 were just decent. They were way to Wolverine centric. While Wolverine is my FAVORITE X-Men I believe it should have been more like an ensemble, I mean Cyclops really got the raw end of the deal when they made him a winy overprotective bodyguard. And because Bryan has such a hard on for the Wolverine I feel this is going to be Wolverine and the X-Men Days of Future Past.

It won't be tough to outdo Thor's first movie. Didn't find it all that great. With that being said, TDW looks promising, even though, I'm not a big fan and do not know much of the mythology.

Closest date we may see DOTFP teaser is November.

@Ineedrevelation

Thor is now as well known character as Iron Man.
The sequel will probably stop at 400 to 500 millions worldwide.
Despite he was in Avengers.
The closest title they could get to make that kind of money would be new Hulk movie with Ruffalo in the lead.

Besides it's not action - comedy like Iron Man.
It aims to be darker. Not exactly what the audience wants.

Cap 2 being the best? Ugh.. I doubt it. We heard that Iron Man 3 would be the best and that was probably the worst. I like the international flair for DoFP, I'm sick of New York in movies.
jcfrommars9
jcfrommars9 - 6/27/2013, 1:55 PM
@Luigi

It depends on who you ask. Iron Man 3 was the highest grossing Marvel solo movie they've made yet, enough to know that it had repeat moviegoers whereas to me, the best movie of the summer was Star Trek: Into Darkness.
