Several major film studios have grandstanded their upcoming film slates this week at the annual CineEurope convention in Barcelona, Spain. Featuring snippets about Thor: The Dark World, next year's X-Men: Days of Future Past & Captain America: The Winter Soldier, ScreenDaily has provided highlights of Fox's and Disney's presentations. Disney apparently opened its presentation with a never-before-seen production featurette for Thor: The Dark World, and followed up with footage and behind-the-scenes footage from Captain America The Winter Soldier. Co-Director Joe Russo said in a taped interview: "It's going to be much grittier than any Marvel movie to date."
In addition to an action scene from The Wolverine, Fox, meanwhile, showed Bryan Singer’s behind-the-scenes video tour of the X-Men: Days of Future Past. set. The director revealed that the "in-between-quel" "takes place all over the world, including in Russia, China, France, Washington D.C., New York, Japan," and beyond. "So there'll be more of an international flair than the other films."
Anyhow, X-Men: Days of Future Past is currently filming, and stars Hugh Jackman, James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, Patrick Stewart, Michael Fassbender,, Ian McKellen, Nicholas Hoult, Omar Sy, Peter Dinklage, Halle Berry, Adan Canto, Fan Bingbing, Anna Paquin, Evan Peters, Daniel Cudmore, Ellen Page and Booboo Stewart. Bryan Singer directs the film in theaters on May 23, 2014!

The creative production team on the film includes director of photography Trent Opaloch, production designer Peter Wenham, editors Jeffrey Ford, A.C.E. and Mary Jo Markey, A.C.E. and three time Oscar®-nominated costume designer Judianna Makovsky. “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” is set for release on April 4, 2014. In addition to “Captain America: The Winter Soldier,” Marvel Studios will release a slate of films based on other iconic Marvel characters including “Iron Man 3” on May 3, 2013; “Thor: The Dark World ” on November 8, 2013; “Guardians of the Galaxy” on August 1, 2014; “Marvel's The Avengers” sequel on May 1, 2015; and “Ant-Man” on November 6, 2015!
