CAPTAIN AMERICA: BRAVE NEW WORLD Crew Jacket May Confirm MCU Debut Of [SPOILER]

Some photos of a jacket that was presented to the cast and crew working on Captain America: Brave New World (FKA New World Order) have been shared online, and the logo might just hint at the MCU debut of a certain character.

Possible spoilers follow.

The logo features Cap's signature shield in the grasp of a large, red hand. Though we had all assumed that Red Hulk would be a part of the movie, anyway, this would definitely seem to confirm it.

The most likely candidate to transform into the Red Rage Monster is obviously General "Thunderbolt" Ross (Harrison Ford), but we have heard rumors that there might be more than one (or even multiple) Red Hulks in the movie.

We recently got confirmation that additional photography for the sequel has been scheduled right up until May or June, with Marvel enlisting Moon Knight writer Matthew Orton to pen new scenes and material for the film.

Reshoots are the norm (especially for major studio tentpoles), but this extensive period of AP has led to speculation that the studio might be making some significant changes to the story.

One rumor points to the movie's action sequences being the biggest issue, so it's possible these reshoots are simply to beef up existing scenes or add some new set pieces.

The fourth Captain America movie started shooting on March 21 at Trilith Studios, Atlanta, before moving to Washington, DC. The strikes previously impacted several other Marvel Studios productions, but we thought Brave New World had managed to avoid any significant delays until the film was pushed to 2025.

We've seen quite a few set photos do the rounds online, some of which featured members of the villainous group known as the Serpent Society. We also got a look at Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie) suited-up in his new Cap costume, and Joaquin Torres (Danny Ramirez) sporting a fairly comic-accurate outfit as the MCU's new Falcon.

Anthony Mackie will reprise his The Falcon and the Winter Soldier role as new Sentinel of Liberty, Sam Wilson, and he'll be joined by Shira Haas as Israeli superheroine Sabra, Carl Lumbly as Isaiah Bradley, Liv Tyler as Betty Ross, and Tim Blake Nelson as The Leader.

Specific plot details are still under wraps, but rumor has it the story will see Samuel Sterns revealed as the "secret benefactor" behind the Serpent Society. What this will entail is not clear, but we assume he'll be funding the group and possibly providing them with tech.

Does this mean the Leader will only have a small role in the sequel, pulling strings from the shadows? It's hard to say for sure, but Brave New World is shaping up to be a fairly jam-packed movie, so we wouldn't rule it out.

Harrison Ford as Red hulk will be a sight to behold.

@MCUKnight11 - is he going to keep the mustache?

@WruceBayne - Is he even going to be sporting a 'stache at all (I mean when he's de-Hulked). So far he's not wearing one in any of the set photos we've seen so far. It might be that it's fake and removable or CG because Ford doesn't want to grow one for real. But even if he does have one when he's not Rulk, it might seem silly to the GA that it disappears whenever he's Rulk, even though that's how it is in the comics. Of course, if you're going to accept that his skin turns bright red and his hair turns black, I guess it's not going too much further to accept that his mustache goes away. Dunno. We'll just have to wait and see...

@StSteven - I'll bet my money on it, but it's just a fake stach, like you said he doesn't like to grow on his own.

@StSteven - "Of course, if you're going to accept that his skin turns bright red and his hair turns black, I guess it's not going too much further to accept that his mustache goes away." Lol, this + his eyes are on fire

@RegularPoochie - The problem of growing his own Stache is it may be the wrong type of one in regards to shape, length and density. It would have to be dyed more than likely anyway and could make mocap more tricky (as in capturing movement of his lips with the tech if he has a buchy Mo). As such wearing a fake one at times, CGI at others for scenes where he is transforming and obv for Rulk may be a logisticaly better way to go even if not considered ideal by us.

Or they could just be ditching the Moustache all together which I'd get and cope with even if not ideal...

...but could be fun ways to play with the whole thing were for his campaign etc he was talked into shaving the Stache but every time he transform he grows it back and has to shave again after reverting, lol. Either way if filming no Mo then adding ,then playing digitaly with it in post to fine tune it they can then test screen variations of it or without as us nerds may want it but may not land as well for the GA.

@RegularPoochie - I can't think of any movies that he's been in off the top of my head where he's had facial hair. Some guys just don't like it or look good in it (I know, I'm one).
StSteven
StSteven - 2/11/2024, 3:19 PM
@RegularPoochie - Oh, yeah, forgot about the fire-eyes too.
StSteven
StSteven - 2/11/2024, 3:28 PM
@Apophis71 @RegularPoochie - And actually the last US president to have a 'stache was W.H. Taft over a century ago, so that just may not be a "presidential look". So my guess would be that like you said he probably starts out with it and is talked into shaving it off for his presidential run, or, depending on if he's already president when we first see him (which is more likely) he's already shaved it and there's a line in there like when Cap has to meet him for the first time since "CA:CW" and Cap says something like "Whoa, what happened to the 'stashe? I thought that was your thing." And Ford says (all cranky) "My wife made me shave it off. She said it didn't look "presidential"." Or something like that. That way Ford doesn't have to wear one, they don't have to mess with CG'ing one, and the GA won't have to wonder where it goes when he changes. Problem. Solved.

RegularPoochie - 2/11/2024, 5:59 PM
@StSteven - Yeah, I think he talked about this once on Kimmel or Conan. Today I shaved for super bowl and left stache and I kinda like these lol.

fore the longer message; I fully agree and that could and will probably be the case.

Glad that they're doing reshoots. If it's not working you have to admit it and face reality. Marvel learning💪

@AmazingFILMporg - Marvel always does reshoots, they actually build it into their production plans. They were the first studio to do ot upfront, whereas now it's a more common practice. Doesn't only help with budgeting, but helps with scheduling too.

@SonOfAGif - true. We are on a different landscape now.

Also, The Deadpool and Wolverine films did not break 1B in a landscape of cbm hype.

It is not a gurantee that it will be successful this year, especially with that R rating. Let's see

They're doing 4 months of reshoots. This is a massive overhaul. It's a daredevil situation.

@AmazingFILMporg - haha... thats a lot more than normal for sure.
AvalonX
AvalonX - 2/10/2024, 9:54 PM
@Itwasme - This isnt part of their normal scheduled reshoots. They are reshooting major parts of the film and the rumors are the Serpent Society has been cut. The movie screen terribly causing a year delay.
JDL
JDL - 2/11/2024, 12:41 AM
@AmazingFILMporg - No they are not. They started shooting om May 22 and shut down on July 14 with 35 days of shooting in the can* and and another 35 to go. They resumed shooting on Nov 23 and finsihed Jan 24th. That's two months and a day. Take out a week for X-mas and that is only slightly longer to do the second half than the first.

Apophis71
Apophis71 - 2/11/2024, 7:07 AM
@JDL - Don't know with certainty the accuracy of numbers of days of what was planned, how much has occured and all of that on either side but regardless the whole situation if kinda unique for this film and DP3 where some filming went on whilst writers strikes were taking place so less ability to tweak scripts during that...

...then once the acters strike were taking place more time to look at what was working and what wasn't...

...so even if more filming it isn't on it's own indicative of much as a lot down to external factors and could be a good sign that they are filming more esp as mostly when it was reported about additional above planned it was said to be only about improving the action scenes not altering the actual narrative.

We'll see when the time comes if it turns out good or not anyway, just think folk get too hung up on the messy process of making films as ones with few rewrites/reshoots turn out bad due to NOT identifying issues and addressing them, some where are lot of rewrites and reshoots take place turn out good (and vice versa).

@AmazingFILMporg - this is literally what happened with the marvels.
AmazingFILMporg
AmazingFILMporg - 2/11/2024, 10:48 AM
@Origame -

The marvels had a few weeks of reshoots because the movie needed coherence and because the director abandoned the project.

Daredevil and cap 4 are getting MONTHS of reshoots because Feige's team was in charge and when it came time for feige to see what was going on he massively changed everything.

Cap 4 getting 4 months reshoots and daredevil getting remade.
Origame
Origame - 2/11/2024, 10:58 AM
@AmazingFILMporg - 1) it was 4 weeks of reshoots. That's an entire month. That's ridiculous on its own. And the director didn't leave until after the reshoots during post production.

2) ok, you can't compare this with daredevil. Daredevil has an entirely different writing team and showrunners now. In every way it is a new show with none of the footage previously shot being used. This is still using the framework of the previous script with the writers and director still attached. This is definitely a marvels situation. And simply saying they're doing more reshooting doesn't change that.

@TheLobster - the original new world order title was better, but maybe they changed that to qualm the conspiracy nutters. Or maybe it's influenced by or wanged to reference the Huxley book.
