CAPTAIN AMERICA: BRAVE NEW WORLD Official BTS Still Shows Anthony Mackie Suited Up Alongside Harrison Ford

Yes, Captain America: New World Order has changed its title, while the first official behind-the-scenes photo from the movie shows Anthony Mackie suited up as Captain America alongside Harrison Ford...

In Avengers: Endgame's closing moments, the elderly Steve Rogers (who had spent decades in the past after finally getting his happy ending with Peggy Carter) gave his shield, and the Captain America mantle, to Sam Wilson.

The Falcon and The Winter Soldier showed the hero struggling with that burden, though he'd later realise he was the right person to pick up where Steve left off. We only got a glimpse of what that will mean for the MCU during the finale, but Captain America: New World Order is going to fully put the spotlight on the MCU's newest Star Spangled Avenger.

Sorry, that should be Captain America: Brave New World

There were rumours this might happen, but the upcoming movie has indeed changed its title. That's been confirmed in a social media post from Anthony Mackie in which the new logo can be seen on the back of one of the director chairs. "New World Order" was the title of an episode of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, so we've long expected some sort of alteration to be made.

In this first official look at Captain America: Brave New World, Sam Wilson is decked out in a new costume which seems to have been heavily inspired by Steve Rogers' stealth suit. Interestingly, one of the monitors shows what looks to be the costume the former Falcon wore in his Disney+ series.

Harrison Ford is also featured talking with his co-star, confirming his version of General "Thunderbolt" Ross won't be rocking a moustache. That should make things easier if and when he transforms into Red Hulk, eh?

"When Harrison Ford tells you how kicking ass should look, you listen!" Mackie says. "Thanks for the on set wisdom and laughs my friend! Can’t wait to do it again..."

Captain America: New World Order Brave New World is set to be released in theaters on May 3, 2024.

@Mother[frick]erJon - I'm not as fragile as to actually get upset by the name change, but I'll admit i don't like it.

Glad to see we will be getting the season finale suit at some point in this movie. It was a few slight tailoring adjustments away from perfection

Captain America: Brave New World extremely excited for this movie most anticipated Marvel movie in the works. The best thing about this movie is it has nothing to do with the Marvel's Multiverse just one Universe. I have Multiverse burnout.

@AllsGood - that's true. But it might introduce plots or conflicts that will be addressed/resolved in the multiverse movies to come

Kind of like how civil war split the avengers, which is why the black order and thanos won I'm infinity war

Bro it's either short sleeves or long sleeves. This middle thing you keep doing for the Falcon suits doesn't look that good.

@TheBlueMorpho - Not outside the realm of possibility, you just don't usually have to make room for them by cutting the sleeves short. I'm thinking it'll most likely be this again

On the monitor, you can see Sam in what seems to be his original Cap suit. I guess that's when they're gonna have the stupid reason for the suit change.

comicfan100 - 6/6/2023, 9:08 AM
@Fares - It's a darker suit, so it may be used for stealth purposes like Steve's in Winter Soldier.

@Fares - The stupid reason? You already know what the reason is?

These characters' suits change all the time. Taking issue with the suit being a little darker is a bit ridiculous.

I understand the name change from 'New World Order' as it maybe sounded to militant, but 'Brave New World' don't sit right.
