CAPTAIN AMERICA: NEW WORLD ORDER Rumored To Feature Appearance From The Sensational She-Hulk

Captain America: New World Order opens on May 3, 2024, and a new rumour claims that Sam Wilson will be joined by none other than the Sensational She-Hulk when he squares off with The Leader. Check it out!

She-Hulk: Attorney at Law has established Jennifer Walters as a major player in the MCU, and while her transformation into a superhero isn't quite complete, we have no doubt that she'll soon be a card-carrying Avenger. Of course, before she can assemble alongside the rest of Earth's Mightiest Heroes, it's looking like she'll be a little busy dealing with her fellow Hulks.

The Disney+ series has made it clear someone is after Jen's blood in an effort to create more immensely powerful beings like her and Bruce Banner. Meanwhile, The Leader has been confirmed as Captain America: New World Order's lead villain, and all signs now point to an eventual World War Hulk (Hulks?) project.

That's been rumoured on multiple occasions, but there are now rumblings that Sam Wilson will team up with She-Hulk in his upcoming movie.

That would be a great movie to introduce Jen to a wider audience, and a solid way to establish her place in the wider MCU as Marvel Studios continues building to a massive Hulk-related crossover. Whether that comes before or after Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and Avengers: Secret Wars is hard to say, though there are still some 2025 release dates that need to be filled.

Despite some expected backlash because She-Hulk: Attorney at Law is a series told from a female perspective, the character has been embraced by fans and looks to have a bright future beyond these nine episodes. Presumably, the VFX would also improve when she's brought to the big screen!

How do you feel about Captain America and She-Hulk potentially teaming up to battle The Leader? Let us know your thoughts on that in the comments section.

She doesn't deserve that "sensational" adjective thus far.

@Urubrodi - thinking the exact same thing

They could still make the character workS they’ve got a great actor in the role and with the right budget they could fix her cgi model.

Just as long as everything about the character is different from how she is in her awful show, I’d be fine lol.

@MrDandy - She has to have character growth eventually right? Like stop being so narcissistic and self-centered and actually step up to help others as heroes should do?
MrDandy
MrDandy - 9/25/2022, 11:48 AM
@mountainman - maybe. We will see. They haven’t done that so far and we are 6 episodes into a 9 episode series.

@MrDandy - Oh I know. I stopped watching early on and the things I have heard have made me feel as if I made the right decision. It seems as if Marvel doesn’t care about character arcs as much as they used to.
MrDandy
MrDandy - 9/25/2022, 11:55 AM
@mountainman - maybe not so much in this show. I felt Sam in FatWS, Moon Knight, definately Wanda in WandaVision, and even Ms. Marvel had decent character arcs for their leads
mountainman
mountainman - 9/25/2022, 2:15 PM
@MrDandy - Those are all good examples but Wanda’s arc was ruined in Dr Strange 2
MrDandy
MrDandy - 9/25/2022, 2:42 PM
@mountainman - not really. It was lazy that they made her evil by being mind controlled by a demon book, but it’s no worse than Bucky being brainwashed and they managed to give him a redemption arc. Hell Loki wasn’t mind controlled at all and tried to destroy a planet and genocide an entire race and he got a solid redemption arc.

@MrDandy - Oh i’m ok with the darkhold thing, it just felt like a regression of the character. After she had her arc in WandaVision - woman who has lost everything tries to create a perfect life but hurts others in the process - her Dr Strange MoM arc felt like a retread.

I probably won't make an appearance in the theater. I've got Disney+ and still can't sit through Thor or Strange. Marvel is kinda trash right now

@KaioKen - Thor was ok, as a comedy. Strange was straight garbage.

Cool! Leader and She-Hulk?? I’m so curious how they will design the Leader in live action. I’m guessing CGI ala She-Hulk which I’ve never bumped up against. I used to watch the Hulk TV show in the dark ages, so stoked we have a She-Hulk series

Ii don’t like the show but I like the character. She’ll be great in an ensemble flick

@TheWalkingCuban - This could be an opportunity to see She-Hulk in a serious light outside of her own show

@RolandD - I hope that’s what happens

@TheWalkingCuban - I thought it was likely that that was what you meant and I was agreeing with you. I definitely wanna see her in bad ass mode, taking on some real threats.

@RolandD - I feel like she should be on Captain America fighting against the leader

Captain America: New World Order with Samuel Stern returning as the Leader as the villain. Good chance the Hulk will appear to in this movie.

@DoubleD - was thinking the same. Kinda stsrt to hope this is secretly World War Hulk like how Ragnarok was Planet Hulk
StSteven
StSteven - 9/25/2022, 2:13 PM
@bkmeijer1 @DoubleD - I hadn't really considered that approach before, but I could definitely see it going that way. They're certainly laying the groundwork for it. I could see it go something like this: Todd will be the big bad of "She-Hulk" (fits with the tone of the show) and he's the one who hired the Wrecking Crew to get Jen's blood. BUT he's in turn working for the Leader, but he'll just be a tease at the end of the season. Like Todd will succeed in getting her blood (maybe using the WC again) and they will produce multiple copies of it, and the big action piece at the end will be Jen putting on the suit and taking down the lab with all the samples and Todd gets arrested. But then in the stinger we see a green hand open a case with some intact samples and maybe a silhouette of the Leader. Bruce is still off-world.

Then in CA:NWO the "NWO" part refers to the Leader creating an army of Hulks to take over the world (or at least NYC), thereby creating a NWO. So Sam and Jen have to team up to take down the Leader and his Hulks. Then Bruce and Skaar show up in the 3rd act. Something like that. However, the director of NWO has said that it will follow the same sort of espionage feel as the previous Cap movies, AND they would still want to keep the focus on Sam (however look at Civil War), and that kinda takes away with the focus being on Hulk for a WWHish movie. But, that may be what they are building and they're avoiding using the WWH title because of some inevitable backlash of it referring to the World Wars, particularly WWII and the Holocaust or something. I could see that. Either way, if the DO do this approach, it will be an interesting balancing act because if they focus too much on Hulk/She-Hulk people will complain that it's not a Cap movie, and if they focus too much on Cap that it's not a WWH movie, so I don't know. What I DO know is that either way, folks will complain 😉.

@StSteven - I think Leader will sent a returning Hulk on a rampage, and it's up to Sam to uncover the whole plot (which I think involves Leader's army of Hulks establishing a new world order).

She-Hulk might be there to help Sam stop Hulk and/or help stop Leader and his government lackeys. Kinda like how Sam and Natasha helped Steve stop Hydra.
StSteven
StSteven - 9/26/2022, 3:43 PM
@bkmeijer1 - Could be. Or, perhaps the Leader kidnaps Jen as an attempt to get her blood (assuming that he fails to do so in "She-Hulk" and Bruce has to "let the beast out" to save her but then can't control it and the Hulk goes on a rampage and Jen has to help Sam and the new Falcon stop him (which the Hulk going on a Rampage was the Leader's plan all along in an attempt to show the Hulk as being as much of a threat as Blonsky).

Either way, I'll be that if they go this route, part of the intrigue aspect will be that if the Leader is able to get Jen's blood, he's able to create a secret team of Hulks who are able to change at will like she can (assuming that they have the correct genetic components). SO, he could have a team of essentially "secret Hulks" who infiltrate various levels of the US government and Sam has to figure out who they are.

However, that plot sounds a little too much like "Winter Soldier" and "Secret Invasion", so they'd have to change it up somehow. Still, that's kind of a cool idea (don't know if they've done it in the comics): having Hulks like Jen who can control when they turn but it being unknown who they are. Kinda like Skrulls but a LOT more dangerous (plus they can't make themselves look like other people).

bkmeijer1 - 9/26/2022, 5:33 PM
@StSteven - that's definitely an interesting direction to go in as well.

Whatever happens though, I do expect both She-Hulk and Hulk to tie in heavily to Leader's plans for a new world order led by supers (wonder if Zemo can let that slide though).
StSteven
StSteven - 9/26/2022, 5:48 PM
@bkmeijer1 - Oh, good point about Zemo. Given his disdain for super soldiers (and the fact that the "Hulk serum" is essentially the super soldier serum), AND the fact that Zemo has a history with Sam and Bucky now, I wouldn't be surprised if Sam ultimately does a "I know a guy" thing to get Zemo to ultimately help them defeat the Leader and his Hulk army. That could also possibly set up Zemo's inclusion in Thunderbolts (because, c'mon, does anyone seriously think that Marvel just laid all their cards on the table as to who all is going to be in "Thunderbolts" at D23, especially as Kevin has stated that they are going to be the MCU's next Avengers (at least temporarily)?). Anyhow, the mind roils with possibilities.
bkmeijer1
bkmeijer1 - 9/26/2022, 6:02 PM
@StSteven - yeah, I can see whatever happens in NWO tie into Thunderbolts and that's why they're not saying anything about Zemo. Can't do Thunderbolts without Zemo in my opinion
StSteven
StSteven - 9/26/2022, 7:26 PM
@bkmeijer1 - Totally. And what happens in NWO could (and likely will) be the impetus for the creation of the Thunderbolts. Makes perfect sense. I can practically hear William Hurt's voice saying something like "Following Sokovia, it became clear that the US government - the world needed its own team of unique individuals to handle the types of situations that even our combined military force could not. Types like this World War Hulk. Banner and the others like him are a threat to the planet and MUST be kept in check. With that in mind, I give you... the Thunderbolts!". Then show the roster. That would make for an excellent stinger at the end of NWO. Shit practically writes itself at this point 😉.
bkmeijer1
bkmeijer1 - 9/27/2022, 4:38 AM
@StSteven - I can see the NWO stinger be a Thunderbolts scene, just like how the Ant-Man stinger was just a scene from Civil War.
StSteven
StSteven - 9/29/2022, 7:42 PM
@bkmeijer1 - (This one is a little lengthier than usual so you might want to grab coffee or tea or a beer depending on what you have going on right now).

Absolutely. In fact I see NWO as a set up for "Thunderbolts". It makes perfect sense. "She-Hulk" is planting the seeds that will lead to NWO, just as that will lead into "TB". IF (and that's a big "if") NWO does indeed deal with the Leader creating an army of Hulks in an attempt to establish a new world order (homo superior anyone?), it's perfectly natural that Ross would respond in Thunderbolts with his own team of government sanctioned superheroes. Which is what he tried to do after Sokovia, but that didn't work out so well so here's attempt #2. And no Avengers/Steve/Tony/etc. to get in his way. AND, while a lot of people have criticized the lineup of the Thunderbolts (as we know it so far) as being mainly comprised of super soldiers... Ross would think that the only way to combat a super soldier threat (i.e. the Hulks in NWO) is with a team of super soldiers, hence the roster of the Thunderbolts. Totally makes sense.

I will say that along those lines, for those who feel that Phase 4 has been haphazard narratively, lacking in direction, and generally just throwing spaghetti at the wall, etc.: look, I get it. I totally understand. But those folks have to understand that Phase 4 is about 5 things (in my opinion): (1) saying goodbye to characters that have passed and are no longer a part of this world; (2) saying "hello" to the new characters in this world; (3) seeing the status quo for the characters, teams, nations, etc. that will be moving forward (4) cracking open new corners of the MCU and expanding the universe; and finally (5) finally wrapping up the ramifications of the "Snap" (or whatever you want to call it).

When taken as a whole, that's a lot of stuff to handle in a phase and I think that Marvel is doing it pretty well. The fact that they are ending this phase with BP just shows how they are wrapping up the previous saga (and the characters that we've lost) and moving forward in a big way. No better way to end this phase, in my opinion.

So to use a metaphor that I've used before: to me, now that we know what the endgame (no pun intended) is for the "Multiverse Saga", Phase 4 is Kevin getting all the pieces in place. Like when a kid gets a bunch of new action figures for Christmas and OF COURSE he has to set up that epic battle between the figures that still have all their heads and appendages on the living room carpet. And as someone watching Kevin setting up all his figures, we're saying "Okay so what are you doing? It looks like it's going to be pretty cool." And he says "Just wait - it's going be awesome!". So now we are looking at Phases 5 & 6 which I think will focus more on the team-ups and less on introducing a plethora of new characters, as they have been in Phase 4, so presumably folks will get the big picture and complain less. Or not.

Anyhow, sorry for the rant but I was bored and just had to get that out of my system 😊.

@StSteven - as long as that comment might be, I totally agree. That's definitely what I think is going on too.

Wonder how many hats this is gonna cost Feige though.

@bkmeijer1 - Haha. I wonder if he just wears one until it wears out, then toss in the trash, opens up a drawer in his desk, and pops on a fresh one. Like his brain is just cooking away in there with ideas and plans for the next decade of the MCU and it just burns a hole in the top of the hats, smoke rising from his head while he's sketching out phases 7-14 on the giant white board in his office. At least that's the way it plays out in my head. Like right now he's burning through another hat, opens his drawer and it's empty so he calls his AA "Hey Janice, could you bring in a box of the BP:WF hats? Thanks". Heh heh.

bkmeijer1 - 9/30/2022, 10:57 AM
@StSteven - that's actually a really good question. Now I wonder where those hats go too
StSteven
StSteven - 9/30/2022, 11:12 AM
@bkmeijer1 - My guess is that out behind the Marvel Studios building there are 3 dumpsters labeled "Trash", "Recycle", and " Kevin's Hats".
bkmeijer1
bkmeijer1 - 9/30/2022, 1:51 PM
@StSteven - I should get me one of those hats then. If I ever gonna cosplay, I'll put on a hat and go as Feige

@bkmeijer1 - Don't forget the Scotch tape to tape your eyes open in that expression that he perpetually has which is like watching someone turn into a Hulk in front of you for the first time. Seriously, I don't think I've ever seen that dude blink.

Just kidding, Kevin! We love you!!! (Just watch now: "She-Hulk: Season 2" has a newly created moron of a D-list villain named "St. Steven" who thinks he a leprechaun or something - that's how he gets his revenge).
