I hope he's more than a plot device like I've been hearing. He should be akin to Bane in a sense that when he's up against Cap, you should be scared at what he's going to do.

For example, Bane vs. Batman in the sewer. Probably the only time I've been scared FOR the hero.

@MRCBM: From the sound of IGN's review he will be:

"Finally, as to The Winter Soldier himself. It is no exaggeration to say that Sebastian Stan’s Winter Soldier is – other than Loki – Marvel’s most successful, and by far most terrifying, villain to date. Again, we’ll leave the details off the page, as we want audiences to enjoy the experience fully. However, we will say that Stan is both heartbreaking and legitimately chilling. He is relentless, feels unstoppable, is fundamentally the Terminator of the superhero world and is absolutely one of the most exciting new characters we’ve seen in the Marvel Cinematic Universe."

@Pasto: Marvel can't top it because it was perfect casting. However, I would argue RDJ as Tony Stark was also perfect casting.

"Don't think Winter Soldier will have too much to do in this film, probably a bigger plot device than villain, but from what we've seen he looks great! The action between him and Cap looks amazing too, very brutal, fast paced close quarter stuff"

(NOW WE'RE TALKING ABOUT HEATH LEADER? Why is marvel constantly trying to tie themselves to dc buzz.)

What? This is one actor talking about another actor. This has nothing to do with studios.

Agree.

Who would be your Marvel villian?.......Mine would be Dr Doom or Green Goblin.

Harvey Dent/Two-Face was a better villain in TDK than Ledger's Joker. But I digress.

You know, for once, I gotta agree with SageMode in a sense. I still think Joker is my favorite, but goddammit Dent was amazing in that film. I think Two-Face had a better character arc and writing by like an inch, but Joker had the best PERFORMANCE. I got chills down my spine when Harvey was pointing the gun at Gordon's boy. The music and everything felt twisted.

If anyone is to play Harvey again, I nominate Michael Fassbender. It would be hard to anyone to trump Eckhart.
