MTV must have had a big interview with Chris Evans at wondercon, because now they have posted yet another video of Evans, now talking about his co-star, Sebastian Stan.

"I actually don't know him. I've never met him," said Evans of his new co-star.

"I don't know if they're going to make him younger in the movie," he said. "The script is still going through so many changes. I really have no idea what the age difference is going to be."

Scripts are constantly going through changes, even once the movie starts shooting. No need to worry people.

I think he hit the red, white and blue bong before going out there.

Instagator@ PeterParker@ the thing about chris evans that i've noticed is he's alot more brutally honest about the hollywood process and past projects. him saying "the script is still going through some changes" is nothing to be alarmed about. scripts get changed every day during shooting. they'll often drop off an updated script for that day at an actors trailer. so that statement - coming from Evans - doesn't mean much to me. the script will go through ALOT more and we'll never know the difference - unless someone says so.

Scripts change all the time. The main plot is set in stone, I wouldnt worry about that. But the drafting process is pretty intense and it is constantly adjusts over time. I wouldn't be worried by that.

Being that Chris claims to not know much about the character, What book would you give him to understand the very essence of Captain America?

The story itself doesn't matter, just the characterization and how the good Cap'n is portrayed.

Well guys which Book/Issue would you give Chris?

@ biggcess

i would say any of the older Avengers comics. can't remember who wrote them, but the all-star/best/most memorable and recognizable team of Cap, Iron Man, Thor, Pym, Wasp, Vision, Hawkeye, Quicksilver, and Scarlet Witch.

but i would also throw Civil War into the mix, because that showed exactly what he stood for while still being modern. Sticking with the ideas that the country was formed with, and that this is the PEOPLE'S country...NOT the Governments. its a way of showing that he stands for the principals country, and if the Government steps out of line, he won't hesitate to rise against it, lets face it, THAT is the whole idea of America.

kinda funny that i picture those being the best characterizations of him, instead of one of his own series', huh?

It seems to me from all these clips Chris has no idea what's going on, which is fine. He's still promoting The Losers and when that's all over I'm sure he'll delve into his role as Capt. and he'll be able to answer all of the questions thrown at him.
CorndogBurglar
CorndogBurglar - 4/6/2010, 9:56 AM
@ backdoorchijad

people need to remember that he can't reveal what Marvel doesn't want him to. for all we know, he could know every detail of the movie, but if Marvel says to keep his mouth shut until later down the road, then thats what he's going to do, lol.

I'm worried about the Bucky character. I was never a fan of the whole sidekick thing, except for Superman's best superfriend Krypto ;p

I trust that they'll do a good job with it, Bucky wasn't Robin so I hopefully they can leave the campiness out him. I don't have a problem with a Superhero/War buddy-flick that's entirely feasable to me. But secretly I kinda hope they kill him off, he's not needed for anything but a Winter Soldier story line which pfft who cares if they do a flick on that.

@ Bigcess "The story itself doesn't matter, just the characterization and how the good Cap'n is portrayed". Not sure I would quite agree with that.

Story is everything, dude! To quote Robert McKee "Story is Character"!! It's how reacts to stuff is how we see who he is.

Though I get ya point about getting Chris to look at a 'one-stop shop' to learn about Cap.

@ Anyone who is worried about the script still going through changes-- You know what other movie's script was going through changes throughout the production? "Casablanca." They didn't know how the movie was going to end until somewhere around 3/4ths of the way through shooting.

Bucky should really be more of a "buddy" figure that knows the real person behind the symbolic figure, Captain America.

Making him like a young dweeby sidekick is lame.

peter@ im glad they're still tweaking and adjusting things. who knows maybe they're listening to fans' expectations. and dont forget the people making this film are fans themselves. which is a nice treat when we get marvel films now.

i just wanna say since we're talking that ever since i started at this site you've been one of my favorite people because marvel vs capcom is the SHIT! (even tho i suck so bad at it i play it all the time) and the number at the end of your user name lets me know our out-looks on life are somewhat similar;)

They need to make him a few years younger but I'm more interested in them making Bucky the bad ass soldier seen in Ed Brubaker's run rather than the lame teenage sidekick! :P

BIGBMH

For the movie, I think they should incorporate some elements of Ultimate Buckey. Ultimate Buckey is about Steve's age and has been his friend for a long time. His costume could be much more subtle than the traditional costume, maybe more Winter Soldier-esque. I really want it to feel like Cap is the movie's only super hero. That's why I'm not really loving the whole Invaders idea. If they have the Invaders, I want their costumes to be subtle like the Weapon X guys in Wolverine (that's not how they should have been in Wolverine, but I think it's suitable for this)
CorndogBurglar
CorndogBurglar - 4/6/2010, 11:13 AM
@ odin

i don't know how it is on PS Network, but on Xbox live, if you buy a game, then something happens with your hardrive, or you delete the game, you can always download it again for free. i'm not sure how it would work if you change your handle. you should try getting on your old handle, re-download it, then change the handle.

don't just create a new handle, because i'm not sure your account would carry over to that. but again, i'm not sure with PS Network :)
JoshWilding
JoshWilding - 4/6/2010, 11:19 AM
OdinsBeard: I think you should be able to re activate your old online account (my PS3 crashed last year and I was able to get my trophies and everything back by doing that) and I'm sure that there's somewhere under your account settings where you might be able to change your user ID! Other than that you'll have to do a new account and just lose all of your past info. ;(
CorndogBurglar
CorndogBurglar - 4/6/2010, 11:19 AM
there's no way they'll make Bucky a corny little sidekick. come on guys, why on earth would they do that? he'll more than likely be a soldier thats friends with Cap.

no way will they make him the corny little sidekick so they can slap each other on the ass and call each other "chum".

lets not forget, Bucky took over as Cap. he's not exactly a sissy...
