FX Cable Network has been buying up number one movies left and right these days, and they have put a big emphasis on buying superhero movies. With such titles as Transformers: Dark of the Moon, Green Lantern, Super 8, X-Men: First Class, Thor, The Green Hornet, and TRON: Legacy under their belt it only seem fitting that they add the current number one to that list. According to Deadline an output deal that was signed with Marvel back in 2008 gives FX the TV rights to Captain America: The First Avenger.

Reports Deadline:

Additionally, FX has the rights to current No. 1 opener, Captain America: The First America under FX's 2008 output deal with Marvel. The 3 movies join recent acquisitions Transformers: Dark of the Moon, Bad Teacher, Green Lantern, The Hangover: Part 2, Rio, Super 8, X-Men: First Class, Thor, Just Go With It, The Green Hornet, TRON: Legacy, and Kung Fu Panda 2.

No word on when the movie might premiere on FX, but you can catch Captain America: The First Avenger in theaters TODAY!!!
