While the much-anticipated Captain America: The Winter Soldier movie will be screened for the press this week starting today, an early dutch review of the superhero political thriller has surfaced online via BrainFreeze.be. After declaring the sequel the "most serious and dark Marvel film," the review notably explains what happens before and after the credits roll. Major Spoiler alert! "After the fall of both S.H.I.E.L.D. & HYDRA we see Baron Von Strucker (Thomas Kretschmann) in his underground lair. Loki’s scepter can be seen here, as well as 2 special prisoners: the “twins”. These are of course Quicksilver (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) and Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen). Quicksilver is bouncing from one end in his cell to another while Scarlet Witch is stacking some building blocks with her mind. Watching them, Von Strucker announces “The Age of Miracles” is upon us. And with that we learn the new name for mutants in the Marvel movieverse." As for the post-credits scene, "The Winter Soldier is visiting the Captain America exhibit in the Smithsonian museum. Here he finds the information on James Buchanan “Bucky” Barnes, his real name. It appears the Winter Soldier now knows who he really was and remembers that Captain America spoke the truth about him." What do you think?

After the cataclysmic events in New York with The Avengers, “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” finds Steve Rogers, aka Captain America, living quietly in Washington, D.C. and trying to adjust to the modern world. But when a S.H.I.E.L.D. colleague comes under attack, Steve becomes embroiled in a web of intrigue that threatens to put the world at risk. Joining forces with the Black Widow, Captain America struggles to expose the ever-widening conspiracy while fighting off professional assassins sent to silence him at every turn. When the full scope of the villainous plot is revealed, Captain America and the Black Widow enlist the help of a new ally, the Falcon. However, they soon find themselves up against an unexpected and formidable enemy — the Winter Soldier. Starring Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Cobie Smulders, Frank Grillo, Georges St-Pierre, Hayley Atwell, Toby Jones, Emily VanCamp and Maximiliano Hernández with Samuel L. Jackson and Robert Redford, “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” is directed by the team of Anthony & Joe Russo from a screenplay written by Christopher Markus & Stephen McFeely and is based on the ever-popular Marvel comic book series, first published in 1941. Marvel Studios’ President Kevin Feige is producing the film. Executive producers on the project include Alan Fine, Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Michael Grillo and Stan Lee. The creative production team on the film includes director of photography Trent Opaloch, production designer Peter Wenham, editors Jeffrey Ford, A.C.E. and Mary Jo Markey, A.C.E. and three time Oscar®-nominated costume designer Judianna Makovsky. “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” is set for release on April 4, 2014.

Awesome way to introduce both characters

P.S. Several dozen test screenings for TASM2 were held today, and buzz around the internet is that this film is indeed the caliber of film TDK was for Batman. Obviously fanboys can be bias but everything circling around the web today is this film is phenomenal and as good a CBM to date, guess we'll know by the end of April.

Mixed feelings. Sucks that they won't have the Cosmic Cube in this movie to truly restore Bucky's memories...

@JoshWilding I agree, but I think it's good that Marvel is moving away from that for a while.

My main issue with Phase 2 is that there really isn't anything connecting the films whereas in Phase 1 we had the cube connecting them

@jrp6048 there is so much happening in this phase man. In the first phase all you have is mention of possible heroes and the tesseract.

Phase 2:
-Exttremis: explains that inhumans or people with special powers could exist. that spot in the brain is a clue.
-AIM: this company is now established and can pop up at any time. could have links to Centipede or Hydra.
-Absence of SHEILD: this is a big one. something is happening in this universe that we arent seeing. the TV show helps seed a lot of the stuff out. We know that Fury is hiding something. We know there is something brewing within SHEILD.
-Ultron: Ultron is being built or has been built. We know something huge is happening in the MCU and by the end of TWS it will be nudged in a new direction.
-Hydra: They are still around working in the Shadows.
-Maximoff Twins: we dont know if thy are inhumans or just gifted people. We know from AOS that people can be born with gifts. Since the MCU started we know accidents can lead to special gifts.
-Super solider Serums: Everyone wants a super soldier. Its the basis of the MCU. Aliens want them as much as Humans. GH325. What is that?
-Chitauri tech popping up in AOS: random people having chitauri tech which leads to more people creating ways to gain some level of power. Heroes and villains can pop up at any time.
-Theme of DECEPTION: So far everything we know abouyt this phase is about deception. From the mandarin to Loki to Coulson to The Winter Soldier. This theme plays a huge part in what could happen in Age of Ultron.
-Loki; Loki is posing as Odin. Anytime we see an Asgardian somewhere not on Asgard its cuz he sent them. What is Loki doing. Is He hiding in plain sight from Thanos or did he plan this All along.
-Blue Guy in AOS: Possible Kree to tie into Guardians or any future instalment in the future.

Its all connected guys

Good points made, I just hope they follow through with the blue guy and extremis from the AoS, I know it started in the MCU and went to tv, but there is so much more they could do with it. And before anyone shuns me yes I know extremis started in the comics.

Anyone know if there's any truth to the rumor that Hawkeye shows up at the end to briefly save Black Widow's life?
redlion

@ Wallymelon

Good points! One theme I've been leaning toward is every since the world was made aware that the Avengers exist it has changed things. I think all these shadow organisations are in a super powered arms race. Centipede is using a cocktail of super soldier serum, gamma radiation, extremis and cybernetics to create super soldiers via the Deathlok program. I think HYDRA is in search of the Inhuman gene or the "gifted" (could be wrong on this though.
