Even before Hollywood Deadline reported that Chris Evans was being considered for Captain America, I was all for It. But now that Marvel has finally gained some sense and considered the guy, Hes my choice now on.

For those who are against him as Cap, because he "WAS" the Human Torch, that franchise is being rebooted, with new actors. Him being Human Torch in "The Fantastic Four" actually helps prove that hes Capable of being Captain America.

From Fantastic Four...

  • He knows what it's like being apart of a team, which could obviously work in First Avenger & The Avengers. Instead of Reed, Thing, & Sue, he'll have Tony, Thor, Hulk, and Natasha, ect.

  • His character took actions without being commanded, easily separates from the F4 team, and in Captain America & Avengers, that separation would label him as the leader, which is who Steve Rogers is.

  • Hes familiar with the tight costumes & their imagery, and from what Director, Joe Johnston described, Captain America's costume may be a more substantial

  • Including some of his recent films, he knows the scope of a SuperHero film.

  • Quoting critics on F4, "Chris Evans nearly stole the show with his energetic, unfettered performance. Basically he does what he believes in.

That says it all. And the fact that there is another Human Torch in the comics of the Captain America era, has some say in this.

Some things not that important, but could contribute

  • 6'(1.83 m)

  • Blue eyed

  • Hes played a teenager multiple times, and it seems that where they want to start off with Steve Rogers being a late teen, then of course ages being that hes frozen 4 or 5 years after becoming Captain America.

  • He'll be 29 years old, when filming begins.

  • Obviously has the look

  • Personal hobbies include Drawing, basketball and working out, buffing up for any role required

  • He could be a great counterpoint to Robert Downey Jr, with a less humerus side.
Since that seems to be a factor needed by some folks.

  • He has worked with Scarlett Johansson before, romantically in a film.

  • "He’d be able to stand alongside the actors already in place for The Avengers, and not end up looking like a lost little boy."

    Personal Quotes

"If you want to be around in 10 years you've got to do something to differentiate yourself from the pack."

"I just have to get my name out there. Once it's out there, it's up to me to captain the ship to where I want to go."

I know this isn't as great as some other great user's "Why ___ Should Be Captain America" articles, but just thought I'd throw out some things.
