CAPTAIN MARVEL Sets Nicole Perlman And Meg LeFauve As Writers

Reports are coming in that Nicole Perlman and Meg LeFauve are nearing a deal to pen the Captain Marvel movie. Though they haven't actually worked together before, THR reckon the duo were teamed up after their separate ideas for a big-screen take on the Marvel Comics character impressed the studio's head honcho, Kevin Feige. No other details were provided, though The Wrap adds that Marvel are currently seeking a female director.

Perlman worked on the initial draft of Guardians Of The Galaxy and is also currently writing the Gamora comic for Marvel. LeFauve co-wrote Pixar's upcoming Inside Out, and also penned The Dangerous Lives of Alter Boys

Now this is what I'm talking about! I've always maintained that getting female writers would be more important than getting a female director, so it's awesome to know Marvel's thinking the same way.

That said....paging Michelle MacLaren!

Written some decent films under their belts. Well if Inside Out is good, but I enjoyed Thor and Guardians so I have faith we'll get a pretty decent script with these two. Get an even better idea after we see a director.
