Is Emily Blunt On Marvel's Radar For CAPTAIN MARVEL?

This won't be the first time you'll have seen Emily Blunt's name mentioned in connection with the Carol Danvers role in Captain Marvel, and depending on when Marvel officially announces who has been cast, it probably won't be the last either. The British actress has been a fan-favorite choice to play this character for years now, and that has led to a lot of baseless rumors being thrown around - but, do we finally have something solid?
During today's Meet The Movie press, co-host Mark Reilly of The Schmoes Know said he's heard that it's actually a "done deal", and Blunt has landed the part of Carol Danvers in the movie. Now, as guest host El Mayimbe points put, this seems unlikely given the fact that the studio has yet to hire (or at least announce) a director, BUT, that doesn't mean Blunt isn't who they want for the role and it's entirely possible some discussions have taken place. The relevant chatter comes in around the 33:40 point.
