While Marvel Studios isn't heading to San Diego for Comic-Con this weekend, a new look at The Marvels has been revealed ahead of a rumoured trailer launch later this week.
Along with an Entertainment Weekly cover which assembles Captain Marvel, Ms. Marvel, and Photon, we have a new gallery of stills highlighting a variety of key characters from the sequel. We can't share those here just yet (due to copyright issues) but they can be found by following the link in the Tweet below.
In those, we see a very much alive Nick Fury (Secret Invasion clearly goes his way...), a number of Skrulls alongside Carol Danvers, and the return of Goose. There are also some pretty terrific shots of Monica Rambeau suited up.
The piece itself is light on any major new reveals, though it sounds like Fury and Carol have been estranged for some time.
"He's been calling her, and she's off in galaxies far, far away," Samuel L. Jackson reveals. "She's like, 'Fury, why are you calling me? I told you not to use this [number].' He's like, 'You gave it to me, so I'm gonna use it. And I'm calling you because I need your help!'"
It's not just the former S.H.I.E.L.D. Director's life she's been absent from, however, as Teyonah Parris confirms we'll explore why Monica no longer seems to have much love for her "Aunt Carol."
The actress explains, "Carol is such a huge part of Monica's life in Captain Marvel. When we see her in WandaVision, you get a sense that she has not talked to Carol in a very long time. So, we have to address the elephant in the room."

In The Marvels, Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel has reclaimed her identity from the tyrannical Kree and taken revenge on the Supreme Intelligence. But unintended consequences see Carol shouldering the burden of a destabilized universe.
When her duties send her to an anomalous wormhole linked to a Kree revolutionary, her powers become entangled with that of Jersey City super-fan Kamala Khan, aka Ms. Marvel, and Carol’s estranged niece, now S.A.B.E.R. astronaut Captain Monica Rambeau. Together, this unlikely trio must team up and learn to work in concert to save the universe as "The Marvels."
The movie stars Brie Larson, Teyonah Parris, Iman Vellani, Samuel L. Jackson, Zawe Ashton and Park Seo-joon.
The Marvels arrives in theaters on November 10.
