THE MARVELS Poster Teases An Epic Team-Up In CAPTAIN MARVEL Sequel And Confirms Release Date Delay

Marvel Studios has released the first poster for The Marvels, teasing an awesome team-up between Captain Marvel, Monica Rambeau, and Ms. Marvel! Unfortunately, the sequel has also been hit with a delay...

We know many of you were confused and frustrated when The Marvels failed to make its presence felt during last weekend's Super Bowl. After all, that seemed like the perfect place to hype up the sequel with a trailer, especially as it could then play in front of Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania

Well, we now have a pretty good idea why Marvel Studios held off on dropping a first look.

A poster for the Captain Marvel sequel was just released across the studio's social media platforms and, while it's not their best effort, it is pretty cool. As well as showing off the new costumes Carol Danvers, Monica Rambeau, and Kamala Khan (Ms. Marvel) will don in the movie, we even have a clever new tagline that harkens back to its 2019 predecessor.

However, don't let that distract you from the fact The Marvels is now set to be released on November 10, 2023 instead of July 28, 2023!

The sequel has indeed been hit by a release date delay, with the upcoming Haunted Mansion movie taking its place. We can only assume this has something to do with Marvel Studios looking to get back to quality over quantity.

Phase 4 has seen them receive some of their worst reviews, and Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania just kicked off Phase 5 with a "Rotten" score. With that in mind, we wouldn't be shocked if reshoots are in order for this movie, though time will tell on that front.

Take a closer look at this poster for The Marvels below.

@bobevanz - you could have waited to say it's been delayed from July to November

I really like this poster! Creative and clean. As someone who didn’t really like Captain Marvel, I’m interested in this. Especially as I really liked the character of Kamala In Ms Marvel and seeing her on the big screen should be fun.

@MrDandy - Yeah! I'm torn, man. I thought Captain Marvel was boring, unoriginal..and Cap Marvel herself was uninspiring, forgettable as an actress and character.
But I did really enjoy Kamala's character in her show. The show itself had really cool parts, and really corner, teen-driven parts...but I truly enjoyed the actress' portrayal. She seems fun.

“Epic team up” 🙄… LMFAO at this guy’s ever-dramatic rhetoric. Something tells me this movie will be anything but “epic”.

That delay sucks but that is an amazing poster. Captain Marvel and Ms Marvel both had really good ones but this is top tier

Thinking deeply about Monica Rambeau in spandex....

The only problem with this poster is that Monica has not really been established with her powers yet and she is floating above Captain Marvel.

Marvel didn't help themselves when they rushed the end of Wandavision and didn't take their time establishing and developing what Monica Rambeau actually became.

Sorry but that’s a lackluster poster to me. 🤷‍♂️

Ooh, good poster. And with the delay, I think this one might be a good movie maybe.

Also, reminds me of this (probably because the Burtonverse Batman films are on my mind right now, it's not actually that similar):

@grif - You're right, that was practically sacrilegious, lol, I apologise.

This might be one of the coolest posters I've ever seen. Hang up on my wall type quality.
