Yesterday, we got a look at some new stills from The Marvels, and thanks to new promo art via the MCU sequel's McDonald's promotional campaign (via CoveredGeekly.com), we now have another look at Carol Danvers (Brie Larson), Monica Rambeau (Teyonah Parris), and Kamla Khan (Iman Vellani) suited-up for action.
Vellani, who debuted as Khan in the Disney+ Ms. Marvel series, was a huge Marvel fan before she ever joined the franchise, and it sounds like her encyclopedic knowledge of the MCU was a benefit to her cast and crew-mates while filming the sequel.
According to EW, the unofficial motto on set was: "If you don't know, ask Iman Vellani."
"I've just learned to trust Iman because she really has her timelines in order," Larson tells the site. "She's the one that's always schooling us. I wouldn't know how old Carol is without her. She really does the math."
A second trailer for The Marvels was recently classified, and should be with us fairly soon. In the meantime, check out the new promo art below.
"In Marvel Studios’ The Marvels, Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel has reclaimed her identity from the tyrannical Kree and taken revenge on the Supreme Intelligence. But unintended consequences see Carol shouldering the burden of a destabilized universe. When her duties send her to an anomalous wormhole linked to a Kree revolutionary, her powers become entangled with that of Jersey City super-fan Kamala Khan, aka Ms. Marvel, and Carol’s estranged niece, now S.A.B.E.R. astronaut Captain Monica Rambeau. Together, this unlikely trio must team up and learn to work in concert to save the universe as The Marvels.”
The film also stars Teyonah Parris, Iman Vellani, Samuel L. Jackson, Zawe Ashton and Park Seo-joon. Nia DaCosta directs, and Kevin Feige is the producer. Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Mary Livanos and Matthew Jenkins serve as executive producers. The screenplay is by Megan McDonnell, Nia DaCosta, Elissa Karasik and Zeb Wells.
The Marvels hits U.S. theaters on November 10
