THE MARVELS Star Brie Larson Reveals Intense Workout Regime Before Returning To The MCU As Captain Marvel

The Captain Marvel sequel, The Marvels, is set to be released next year, and Brie Larson is currently hard at work preparing to get into superhero shape for her return as Carol Danvers.

We last saw the actress in Avengers: Endgame, though her scenes in that movie were actually shot before 2019's Captain Marvel. As a result, it's been a while since the Oscar-winner has suited up, so you can see why Larson might want to make sure she's in the best shape possible ahead of her return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Very little is known about the plot of The Marvels, though it has been confirmed that Captain Marvel will be joined by Iman Vellani's Kamala Khan/Ms. Marvel and Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau (likely in her Spectrum persona following the events of WandaVision). Seeing the three badass superheroes teaming up promises to be an awful lot of fun come November 11, 2022.

Nia DaCosta is taking the helm of the movie, and Larson recently confirmed that she's putting her YouTube channel on pause in order to focus on once again playing the MCU's most powerful superHERo.

Check out Larson's workout video below:

@bkmeijer - Go running. It’s my favorite part. Not really I have a big ass Jill my route starts on so it takes my gas by the time I get into gear smh

@bkmeijer - If you have bad knees, don’t just start running.

Swim, bike, low impact HIIT/Cardio … that would be more efficient.

@bkmeijer - as an older person who recently recovered from a torn ACL the best things for knees is to start with biking. It's too us on the muscle right above the front of your knee. Then you can move to stationary squat holds to really focus on the glute, and if you have resistance bands then do squats with them around your knees and move laterally.

I did a ton more exercises as part of my recovery, but starting with those 3 and focusing on the muscles around your knee with help protect it.

@PantherKing @Cbmfilmjunkie @Itwasme - the thing is I am running (and half marathons while I'm at it), but my knees just can't keep up. I am considering biking, but for now I'm doing squats and other exercises for the lower half of my body. Just don't do them frequently or consistently enough.

But gotta admit, seeing Brie is one good motivator.

@Itwasme - As a personal Trainer with bad knees, I approve this message.

@Cbmfilmjunkie - I appreciate the endorsement! It was a long recovery, but these there the places I had to start working. At my age I took it really seriously because I was worried that if I didn't my knee would never recover. I'm probably in better shape now than before I tore it!

I'm very excited to see her, Kamala and Monica all together. Would love to see Phyla-Vell in the mix at some point to. (Would be a good spot for Kristen Stewart if she ever wants to try a big franchise again.)

@WakandaTech - As cool as that would be I feel like Brie Larson should be the star of the show but she’s already sharing the spotlight with 2 other females. Would like to see Blue Marvel tho but not in this movie

@WakandaTech - This movie does need The Blue Marvel in it but the track record of recent male characters are a joke.

@HAUSMAN01 - I just find it funny at this point. Not sure why some people are insecure about women leading anything. Sure, some of the stuff isn't good, but the same goes for some of the guy stuff. I am also fully expecting this from the Eternals and wouldn't be surprised if they also received a three hour crybaby video too.

I really hope they give Brie time to shine in this. Like I liked Captain marvel but that movie barely showcased her powers. They should also figure out a way to ground her character a little bit but that’s just my hope for the sequel
