More CAPTAIN MARVEL VFX Photos Take Us Into Outer Space And Reveal Just How Much Of Goose Was CGI

Captain Marvel was another Marvel Studios movie that featured plenty of stunning visuals, and it's fair to say at this point that no one does it better when it comes to making us feel like these larger than life superheroes exist, not just in the Marvel Cinematic Universe but our world as well.

Now that the movie has been in theaters for a while, some incredible before and after VFX images have been released (you can find the first batch by clicking here) which highlight a number of awesome moments in the film.

For starters, we get to head into outer space alongside Carol Danvers and learn how those zero gravity scenes were brought to life. The real highlight, however, is realising that Goose the cat was almost entirely CGI in a number of key sequences, and it's honestly hard to believe how convincing the FX are.

As a cat owner, I always thought it was very obvious whenever Goose was animated. Probably don't need the preface. It was a good effort, but it wasn't Thanos-level CGI.

And animated hair never looks good. It always makes the person themselves look animated. Makes me think of that zero-g scene in Arrival.

@Nebula - idk bro, I don't see anything wrong with the hair in that still. It looks pretty damn good. Compared to the CG hair in Aquaman, its night and day.

@HeavyMetal4Life - I actually thought it was alright in Aquaman. I've only seen it once though. I think the fact that they're underwater gives it some benefit.

I don't understand why Sam Jackson couldn't be petting a real cat. Animating that feels totally unnecessary.

A bit off topic but I read a Reddit thread from someone claiming to have seen a cut of Endgame and IF true, oh boy are we in for something crazy and also somewhat controversial.
