So someone please excuse me and explain the DC continuity to me. Is batman dead, or a god while Jim Gordon is running around in a Meca Bat suit? If so, why are there some titles with normal Bruce as Batman?

For those of you who are confused about how DC's continuity is working. After Convergence, DC decided that they would loosen up continuity and put emphasis on making great stories with great characters. And that's exactly what they've done. If you're a real stickler for continuity I'm sure there's a way for it all to work, but I'd rather just enjoy the stories than worry about where they fit on a timeline.
