The wings andt he shield on his back at the same time still makes zero sense and is entirely unpractical. It won't ever transfer to the MCU because it won't work in a movie reality.

I hate what has been done to Steve Rogers far more than I like any changes made to Captain America. Not a title I'll be buying anytime soon.

I'm just going to take @Gdub510's comment as a form of biting satire towards the comic book community, because I don't know what else to do with it.

i admit that i haven't read any of these so don't know why Steve's wrinkly and Sam's now cap, but for me Bucky Cap was the best stand in, but i like bucky being the watcher on the wall.

So they're keeping the whole instant ageing of Steve Rogers?
Wouldn't it have been better, this being a new universe, to just have him be old? Or better yet, for him to have never thawed from the ice?

@Crabnado, Ok, thanks. Haven't been keeping up with the Cap series since I wasn't really into it that story with Zemo's kids, so I didn't know if it was something that happened there.

That's exactly what I hate about the new Wonder Woman origin. She's a superhero because she's the daughter of Zeus? Jor-El and Lara were just regular Kryptonians with no superpowers. Thomas and Martha Wayne were rich, but not super-powered. But Wonder Woman can't have superpowers without inheriting them from a male god? Now, instead of being her own Woman, she is simply a daughter. It's super-nepotism. You know who her father was before the revamp? Nobody, that's who. Like Jesus. That's part of what made her special. She was made from the clay of mother Gaia. Like the first woman or man of many ancient mythologies.

Sorry. That rant was completely uncalled for and almost entirely irrelevant to the topic at hand.

Sam Wilson will have a solo movie in phase 4... "Captain Falcon: The Replacement Avenger"

Retrofit, Sam Wilson IS Captain America and it looks like you'd better get used to it. Not only that, but in the movies, Anthony Mackie is more of a draw/a-lister than Sebastian Stan, so you might be looking at him as Captain America for a more significant amount of time--like an entire couple of movies.

Sorry you feel that way, enjoy buying other comics. White people have dominated these titles for so long. When Steve Rogers was replaced by Bucky you didn't bat an eye. Your issue is purely a skin color one, but you're going to be frustrated because Wilson isn't just going away. I was personally told this by Joe Quesada. And I've been a Cap collector since 1988.

There are a lot of b-list comics you can collect. With all white people. Have fun.

Sam Wilson makes a terrible Captain. I don't mind him getting a codename swap. It's just a shame it had to be this one.
But my issue is with Sam Wilson's character and the weak writing, not his skin or costume. Don't let it bother you that Falcon stole a white guy's identity. The original Falcon was a white guy too.

DukeA, the one problem with your analogy of WW to Jesus is that Jesus was God from the beginning. Remember the Christmas story? Angels heralded his arrival as well as a full-on STAR. Wise men, shepherds, and others traveled for miles in order to see him.

The other kind of funny thing, all of the above is true. Not a comic book myth.

So I guess Jesus was someone BEFORE the beginning of His public ministry.

Wonder Woman? Not so much.

I hate the idea of "Wonder Woman the demigod". Demigods in Greek mythology are a dime a dozen, because Greek gods notably couldn't keep it in their pants.

The mantle of "demigod" isn't special. Wonder Woman's original origin story, however, was unique and primal-- the fact that she was LITERALLY fashioned from the clay of the Earth made her a pure, mythic being, akin to a female Adam (albeit one who could lift a semi-truck over her head). She was also, quite pointedly, fatherless; she's a personification of femininity AND power, and it comes entirely from herself and from the Gods (here representative of nature).

Her NEW origin, however, makes her the product of an adulterous tryst-- not only does she have a father that she inherited all of her power from, but she has a deadbeat scumbag father who abandoned her and her mother to be taken care of by his own wife (Hera is the benefactor of Themyscira). Wonder Woman is now a bastard.

I hate this retcon SO, SO MUCH... and if the movie ends up adopting the "demigod" angle because it's easier to explain or whatever, I will disown Warner Bros. for the rest of my days.

... But anyway, yeah, I'm not fond of Sam Wilson as Captain America. Mostly just because his "half-Cap, half-Falcon" costume unequivocally sucks.

(EDIT NOTE: I changed my comparison of Wonder Woman from "Eve" to "a female Adam" because the myth of Eve suggests she was fashioned from Adam's rib... meaning that, even though she had no parents, she was still the product of a man. And also meaning that Adam was in a relationship with his own female clone, apparently.)
