i can't wait to read this,i'm waiting for the trades.

i've read kick ass & nemesis,i need this in my collection i love lenil francis yu artwork.

@ thegoddannsuperguy

why can't you except that rival comic companies are gonna want their version of iconic heroes like superman & captain marvel.

i play dc online i've created a character called superior man who's mentor is superman.

-he can fly
-wears a cape
-has heat vision
-super strength
-super speed (flying)
-wisdom of solomon
-level 30 member of the justice league

& some other iconic powers that i can't think of off the top of my head.

its so hard to create an original character when you use a superman template.

@TheGODDAMNSUPERGUY: Heh, right on thought I kind of like some of Superiors book but Right on for dissing James and his Plagiarism called Avatar. Course Call me Joe isn't the first work Cameron plagiarized and made into a big box office smash. I'M LOOKING AT YOU TERMINATOR FRANCHISE which may be good but James is a real dick about it.

Even the Rocketeer mini-series that came out last year had a Superman style character in one of the stories, so the label of "rip-off" becomes a moot point. The idea of the super strong, flying, ultimate good guy super hero has been done in every publishing company and even long before. Hercules and other Mythological heroes were the inspiration of the comic characters we love to read. I enjoy reading this series, its a fun read.

You mean this is a kid too?! Get ready for some corny dialogue from our grown up looking superhero, Captain Marvel. We could've had such an interesting character here. He looks really cool. Since our new Superman is now modernized, we have a younger looking hero. Meaning he looks not wise, and like someone you couldn't trust will make the right choice. Superior has that look, but he's a [frick]ing kid. So nevermind.

Superior looks like Mark Valley or John Hamm

The book is good regardless of it being a so called rip off, since DC keeps screwing around with Captain Marvel and Superman let others do it better.

People can accept Deadpool even though he's a Deathstroke rip off so i don't see what the problem is. I wish Millar had been put on Superman instead of Perez.

Mark Millar is highly overrated and he takes forever to publish one series. I'll still probably check this out despite the obvious SHAZAM rehash, Millar's creator owned stuff tends to be better than most other stuff he's putting out recently.

Also, please stop bashing James Cameron for Avatar. It was a good movie. Yes is was very similar to Pocahontas, but a movie's quality is based on the execution not the story. Star Wars and Lord of the Rings both consist primarily of age old, coming of age, adventure tropes with a sci-fi twist, but nobody complains about them.

I got the first few issues, loved them, and decided to trade wait for the rest. Can't wait to read through this in one sitting, and I seriously can't wait for the movie. If the film gets released the same year as the Nemesis adaptation, I'd be in heaven.
